CALL FOR ENTRIES

The RODANDO Film Festival invites filmmakers to participate in the First International Showcase of its 14th Edition, to be held in the city of San Luis Potosí and the Magical Towns of Real de Catorce and Xilitla, Mexico.

INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE

FICTION FEATURE FILM

Fiction films from any country, completed between 2024 and 2026, will be considered.

The showcase is aimed at works with a strong authorial vision and social commitment that address contemporary cultural realities through themes such as: gender perspective, masculinities, childhood and youth development, migration, memory, community, as well as sexual, functional, linguistic, and ethnic diversity.

Selected films will receive official recognition from the Rodando Film Festival.

•Submission Period: The submission window will be open from June 21 to July 21, 2026, until 23:59 (Central Mexico Time). No submissions will be accepted after the deadline.

•Submission Fee: The entry fee is $15 USD (Fifteen US Dollars).

•Validity of Links: Screener links and passwords provided in the application must remain valid from the moment of submission until the official results are announced.

•Language and Subtitles: Films may be in any language. However, for the selection/evaluation process, they must strictly include Spanish subtitles.

•Results: Official selection results will be announced during the first week of September 2026 through the festival's official social media channels and via email to each participant.

•Withdrawal of Works: Once participation is confirmed and the formal invitation is accepted, selected films cannot be withdrawn from the festival program.

•Screening Formats: The standard screening format will be a high-quality H.264 digital file in MP4 format, with a minimum resolution of Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels).

•Promotional Materials: The festival may use excerpts of up to one minute from the selected works, as well as stills, posters, synopses, and promotional materials exclusively for broadcast, press, and promotional purposes of the event.

•Exhibition and Venues: Selected films may be screened at any of the official venues of the 14th Edition of the Rodando Film Festival, including theaters and outdoor spaces in the city of San Luis Potosí and the Magical Towns of Real de Catorce and Xilitla, Mexico.

•Hospitality: The selection of a film does not imply an automatic in-person invitation for production representatives, nor does it cover travel, lodging, or meal expenses by the festival.

•Subsequent Screenings: Selected films may be included in touring showcases or special screenings organized by the Rodando Film Festival during 2026 and 2027. This will require prior written authorization and coordination with their respective rights holders.

•Selection Committee: The final selection of works will be made by the festival's programming committee, and its decisions are final and unappealable.
