The Arapiraca Film Festival aims to promote Brazilian cinema, as well reflections on the democratization of access and the challenges of independent production. The Festival's program consists of three competitive shows: Mostra Brasil, Mostra Nordeste and Mostra NAVI de Cinema de Formação.

Aim
1.1. The Arapiraca Film Festival aims to promote Brazilian cinema, as well as reflect on the democratization of access and the challenges of independent northeastern and Arapiran production, in addition to providing exchange and dialogue between filmmakers.
Organization
2.1. The III Arapiraca Cinema Festival was carried out with the resource of Lei Paulo Gustavo, of the Federal Government, operationalized by the Government of Alagoas, through the Secretary of State for Culture and Creative Economy, Prefecture of Arapiraca and the NAVI - Núcleo do Audiovisual de Arapiraca, through the AAMA - Association of Artists of Massaranduba and Arte Camaleão, with sponsorship from SEBRAE Alagoas, production of Bananola Films and partnership with the Paradiso Multiplica Project.
To realization
3.1. The Arapiraca Cinema Festival will be held between August 19 and 25, 2024 in the municipality of Arapiraca. In addition to competitive and non-competitive exhibitions, the event will have its program with offices, master classes and discussion tables.

4.1. The Arapiraca Film Festival is made up of 04 (four) thematic shows. Each one of them is independent and possui a different thematic and/or territorial scope.
4.2. Not only does each film have to be submitted, but each film must be framed by the responsible proponent in the screenings of the Arapiraca Film Festival, subsidizing its selection through thematic and territorial criteria established in this regulation, such as:
4.2.1. BRAZIL SHOW
4.2.1.1. Mostra Brasil has a competitive nature.
4.2.1.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of Brazilian film includes a series of audiovisual productions made by teams predominantly of artists and technicians residing in the national territory, especially or what we understand as team leaders: director, producer. executive, production director, art director, photography director, direct som technician and editor. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, through our registration form, that the work in question is a Brazilian production or that it was made by a production company based in Brazil.
4.2.2. NORTHEAST SHOW
4.2.2.1. The Northeast Show has a competitive nature.
4.2.2.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of northeastern film includes a series of audiovisual productions made by a team mostly of artists and technicians residing in the Brazilian northeastern region, especially what we understand as team leaders: director, producer ( a) executive, production director, art director, photography director, direct som technician and editor. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, by means of our registration form, that the work in question is a Northeastern production or that it was made by a production company based in the Northeast region.
4.2.3. FORMAÇÃO CINEMA NAVI SHOW
4.2.3.1. The Training Show has a competitive nature.
4.2.3.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of training film comprises a series of audiovisual productions fruitful and/or made in training contexts in the technical and/or artistic sphere of the cinematographic universe, including productions made in a university environment, as well as, Non-formal cultural institutions, offices and training projects in the area. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, by means of the registration form, that the work in question is a university/training production or that it was made in the context of the quest, as well as attaching to the registration documentation that it confirms .
4.2.4. CHILDREN'S CINEMA SHOW
4.2.4.1. The Children's Show does not have a competitive nature.
4.2.4.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of children's film includes a series of audiovisual productions from all the States of Brazil, with themes and indicative classifications. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, by means of the registration form, that the work in question is an audiovisual production of a children's nature.
Registrations
5.1. Registrations will be made through the Festival profile on the Festhome.
5.2 The films must be sent via the link from the Vimeo or YouTube platforms (with the right to view, they will be available), accompanied by the filmography or mini biography of the director, synopsis, technical sheet and link for the trailer.
5.3. Registration will be open between May 5 and June 5, 2024 (at 11:59 p.m., Brasilia time).
5.4. There will be more films completed from January 2022 onwards.
5.5. You can participate in the Arapiraca Film Festival with films without a minimum duration requirement and with a maximum duration allowed of up to 254.2.3.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of training film comprises a series of audiovisual productions fruitful and/or made in training contexts in the technical and/or artistic sphere of the cinematographic universe, including productions made in a university environment, as well as, Non-formal cultural institutions, offices and training projects in the area. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, by means of the registration form, that the work in question is a university/training production or that it was made in the context of the quest, as well as attaching to the registration documentation that it confirms .
4.2.4. CHILDREN'S CINEMA SHOW
4.2.4.1. The Children's Show does not have a competitive nature.
4.2.4.2. The Arapiraca Film Festival understands that the definition of children's film includes a series of audiovisual productions from all the States of Brazil, with themes and indicative classifications. Furthermore, the film production must be publicly declaring, by means of the registration form, that the work in question is an audiovisual production of a children's nature.
Registrations
5.1. Registrations will be made through the Festival profile on the Festhome.
5.2 The films must be sent via the link from the Vimeo or YouTube platforms (with the right to view, they will be available), accompanied by the filmography or mini biography of the director, synopsis, technical sheet and link for the trailer.
5.3. Registration will be open between May 5 and June 5, 2024 (at 11:59 p.m., Brasilia time).
5.4. There will be more films completed from January 2022 onwards.
5.5. You can participate in the Arapiraca Film Festival with films without a minimum duration requirement and with a maximum duration allowed of up to 25 minutes (including credits).
5.6. The films could be in the categories fiction, documentary, animation, hybrid or experimental.
5.7. Selected case, the filmmakers must provide the production of the Arapiraca Cinema Festival with a copy of the film for exhibition in digital video file format (mp4 / H264 / 1920×1080 / bit rate 20Mb/s).
5.8. The organization and curator are not responsible for files that have technical problems or whose links have expired.
5.9. Each person will be able to register an unlimited number of films, as long as there is a registration for each film and a set of documents for each registration.
5.10. The person responsible for the inscription declares, not only, to be fully responsible for all rights relating to the inscribed work, including author rights, sound rights and third party image use rights; assuming exclusive legal responsibility for any claim, judicial action or litigation relating to the exhibition or use of films at the Arapiraca Film Festival.
SELECTION
6.1. The selection of two films will be made by a curatorial committee appointed for the production of the Arapiraca Film Festival, whose decision will be sovereign.
6.2. The list of selected films will be published on the Arapiraca Film Festival's social networks on July 14, 2024. The selected filmmakers will also be contacted by e-mail .
6.3. The organization of the Arapiraca Film Festival will not be responsible for the costs of passages and transfers of the directors of the films selected in the Show.
EXIBIÇÃO TWO FILMS
7.1. The file for exhibition of the film in the Shows, if your film is selected, may be the one sent during the registration period or a new link, sent after the dissemination of the selected films.
7.2. The selected filmmakers will be informed of the conditions for the exhibition of their films. If there is disapproval, the film will be removed from this edition.
7.3. The organization reserves the right to invite the directors and/or representatives of two films registered and selected for participation in debates and spaces in the program of the Arapiraca Film Festival.
8. AWARDS
8.1. The films selected by the curator for this edition will be evaluated by a jury committee that will designate awards and mentions.
8.2. The prizes of the contest will be awarded by a committee of juries invited by the Organization of the Arapiraca Film Festival.
8.3. The films participating in this year's competitive shows will compete for the following awards:

8.4. The award-winning films will receive a trophy and an award certificate.
9. GERAIS DEVICES
9.1. The organization of the Arapiraca Film Festival reserves the right to exhibit in any communication channel portions of two participating films, as well as the festival's promotional purposes.
9.2. The organization of the Arapiraca Film Festival will be able to hold various special screenings, competitive or non-competitive, with the submitted films. The filmmakers will be informed of the decisions of the curator and the editing production team.
9.3. Please refer to the address shown for the solution of any case omitted in this regulation.
9.4. The registration process implies full approval of this regulation.

O Festival de Cinema de Arapiraca e a IV Mostra NAVI entendem que a definição de filme universitário compreende um leque de produções audiovisuais frutos e/ou realizadas em contextos formativos no âmbito técnico e/ou artístico do universo cinematográfico, compreendendo desde produções realizadas no ambiente universitário, como também, instituições culturais não-formais, oficinas e projetos de formação na área. Além disso, a produção do filme precisa estar declarando publicamente, por meio do formulário de inscrição, que a obra em questão se trata de uma produção universitária/formativa ou que foi realizada no contexto em questão.
