Les Arcs European Film Festival was created in 2009. It takes place in the world famous ski resort of Les Arcs, in the heart of the French Alps, during the opening week of the winter season, one week before Christmas.

Les Arcs European Film Festival presents 12 films in competition, 8 films in Panorama (films that have been awarded in their own country but have not been distributed in France), Premieres, a focus on an European country, films for young audience. A total of about 70 films, mostly features, mostly exclusive on the French territory.

During the week 3 professional event are also taking place :
- The Film School Village : 5 to 10 European film schools invited, represented by a director and a producer just awarded.
- The Coproduction Village : 26 projects are selected to be presented to producers, buyers, distributors, regional funds... A total of about 270 participants. Also programmed, a Work in Progress screening.
- The DIRE Days : the French distributors of DIRE are showing their line-up to a hundred of French films exhibitors.

In addition to that, a ski competition is organized (the European Cinema Ski Cup), parties, concerts, meetings with the films team, "pitching on chairlifts"... A great atmosphere, a great place to make business, a great place to watch European films, in a unique surrounding.

PROMOTION
For the best promotion of the selected films, the provided films’ photos and the film extracts might be posted on the festival’s website and on its partners’, during the period of the festival promotion. The Festival’s press agents are likely to hand over photos from the selected films to the medias, for communication purposes.
PROJECTION RIGHTS
The films in Competition and in the European Panorama will be available free of charge throughout the festival, and further reruns, projections and rental rights included.
RERUNS
Some of the films from the festival’s programme, the winners in particular, are likely to be scheduled in reruns during the week following the festival and also during a special event organised in Paris. The dates for these screenings will be communicated at a later date on and specific demands will be expressed to the right owners.
ORGANIZERS’ RESPONSABILITIES
The Festival reserves the right to use the information provided in the registration forms in accordance with the Law No. 78-17 of 01/06/1978 on ‘Informatics and Freedom’. According to the Law, every participant has the right to access and modify all personal data concerning him or her. The Festival will not be held responsible in case of damaged reception or non reception of the registration files, no matter what means of transmission is used and the problem’s reason.
The festival reserves the right to interrupt, to cancel or to postpone the festival and also to change the present regulations at any moment according to its needs. In these cases, all Withoutabox fees will be refunded. No other compensation whatsoever will be due to the participants.
INSURANCE
The festival will insure the prints for selected films only during the Festival and on the Festival premises. In case of damage, no claim will be taken into account one month after the return of the print to the sender. Should a print be damaged or lost, the festival’s responsibility could be engaged up to 750 Euros.
ASSIGNMENT OF JURISDICTION
Participation in Les Arcs European Film Festival means unreserved acceptance of the present regulations.
UNFORESEEN CASES
The board of directors of the association Révélations Culturelles, which organizes the Festival has the power to settle all matters not covered by the present regulations.
