1. PARTICIPANTS:

Individual or collective filmmakers of Spanish nationality may participate.

Short films in the Fiction and Animation categories will be accepted, with free themes and treatments.
In accordance with Article 13 of Law 38/2023 of November 17, General on Subsidies, applicants who fall under any of the circumstances outlined in said article may not be eligible for the award.

Works must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes (including credits), must have been produced after January 1, 2023, and must not have previously competed in this Festival. Each participant may submit as many works as they wish.

Awards are not cumulative.

Works in languages other than Spanish must include subtitles in Spanish.

The Festival reserves the right to create a backup copy of the selected short films, ensuring, in any case, the copyright and intellectual property rights of the works.

Along with each work, the following must be provided (using the registration systems of the respective short film submission platforms):

• Synopsis

IMPORTANT: The winner of a monetary award, once notified, will have 10 calendar days to confirm acceptance. Winners of the Jury, Audience, and Young Filmmaker Under 30 awards are required to attend the Awards Gala, arriving one hour before the start. The Organization may propose and accept additional awards resulting from collaborations with entities or companies, which will be notified to finalists.

5. SELECTION OF WORKS, JURY, AND FESTIVAL SCHEDULE:

After the submission deadline, all accepted works will be reviewed by a Selection Committee composed of technical staff from the City Council and individuals linked to the film, audiovisual, and cultural sectors. They will select 24 finalist short films.

The Festival will take place from August 4 to 7, 2025, with screenings of the finalist works.

The Jury will award the prizes, and their decisions will be final.

The Audience Award will be determined by a popular voting system during the screening phase.
