Cortos con Ñ. International short film festival held in the center of the city of Madrid (Spain).

Every Tuesday, at 19:30 p.m., at the La Escalera de Jacob theater (C / Lavapiés, 9 - Madrid, Spain).

Cortos con Ñ organize public screenings of short films every week in the city of Madrid.

Each short film received at Cortos con Ñ is carefully reviewed by a committee of film experts, who are in charge of selecting the best short films received at our festival.

-Audience Award.

Yaq Distribución will grant 1 month of free distribution at festivals to the short film winner of the Audience Award.

-Best Short Film.
Distribution With Glasses will grant a flat rate of 6 months valued at € 800 for the short winner of the Best Short Film Award.

-Best International Short Film.
Plataforma de Nuevos Realizadores will grant the filmmaker who wins this award a free annual fee as a member of this association.

-Best Actor / Actress.
Premiere Actors will award the actor or actress who wins the Best Performance Award with one of the services offered by this company for Artistic Guidance and Legal Advice for actors and actresses.

-Jury Prize for Best Script:
The publishing house Unrated (specializing in comics and genre literature) will offer a batch of its new works to the winner of this prize.

* Spanish Short Films Section: Short films shot in Spain.


* International Short films Section: Short films shot in any country on Earth are allowed.


* If the original language is not Spanish, the works must be subtitled in that language or, if appropriate, in english.


* The short films presented may have been previously screened, posted on the Internet or in other exhibitions / festivals.


* The screening of the selected short films will take place at the theater of La Escalera de Jacob. (Madrid).


* The presentation of a short film does not ensure its projection during the show, being at all times the decision of the organization this point.


* A notification will be sent to the filmmakers whose works will be exposed, advising them of the exact date of screening of their short films.


* In the event that the short film is selected to be screened at the festival, it may be screened once or several times, as deemed appropriate by the festival organizers. In the case of projecting a short film for the second time, the director of the short film will first be asked permission.

* The person or entity responsible for the short films selected for Cortos con Ñ authorizes the festival organizers to temporarily transfer the rights to their film for screening at our festival. This includes both the first screening and a possible screening at the Cortos con Ñ Audience Award Semifinal, the Audience Award Final or at the Cortos con Ñ awards Ceremony. Cortos con Ñ's exercise of these rights over the selected short films will be solely temporary and limited to the Cortos con Ñ session where the short film will be screened. The rights holder will always retain the rights to their work, except for the temporary transfer for the screening of their short film during the Cortos con Ñ session where it will be screened.

* Each selected short film will receive 1 invitations for the day of its screening, while people who go without invitation can book their tickets for € 4 on the La Escalera de Jacob website.


* All short films selected are eligible for the following awards: Jury Award for Best Short Film, Jury Award for Best Performance, Jury Award - PNR for Best Direction, Jury Award for Best Screenplay and Audience Award.


* Each Public Award or Jury Award will offer its winners, in addition to a statuette, free products or services provided by our sponsors (for example, free distribution at festivals).


* Any category may be declared void (both in prizes and in selected ones) at the discretion of the selection committee.

* Short films that, in part or in whole, have used Generative AI tools (for example: ChatGPT, MidJourney, Veo2...) in their production or creation (for example: script, music, poster, shots, sequences...) will not be selected in Cortos con Ñ and will be automatically excluded from the selection process.

* The registration fee (if any) will not be refunded in the event that the sender of the short requests its withdrawal from the competition.


* The short films must be sent through the Festhome platform.
