2nd INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ENVIRONMENTAL FILM

BASES TO PARTICIPATE
The Tafí Viejo Municipal Audiovisual Center (CAMTV) under the Ministry of Culture of the Municipality of Tafí Viejo organizes Cine de las Yungas, International Environmental Film Festival.

A unique meeting in the NOA where the theme of programming revolves around the reflection and sensitivity about the care of the environment.

Cinema of the Yungas seeks to install the environmental debate as a universal problem that has to be approached from all cultural fields emphasizing the local production of short films on environmental themes by children and a wide competitive official selection of shorts that seek change for a better world.


GENERAL CONDITIONS


1- One or several short films of up to 15 minutes (including titles) can be registered. They must be exclusively environmental issues, produced from January 1, 2015 to date.


 2- The deadline for the reception of short films is Friday, August 25, 2017.


3- You can enroll in one of these two competencies:

A) International Official Competition "Nina Velardez": short films on environmental themes that represent the different issues. The content should be suitable for all public and not contain explicit violence, gender, etc.

B) Local Official Competition "Tafí Viejo Ciudad Limpia": short films made by Taficeños children up to 12 years old. It contemplates shorts made by public, private institutions or social groupings with a maximum duration of 1 min. The content must exclusively address the problem of garbage and man-made waste.


4- Works whose original language is not Spanish will only be accepted if they are subtitled or dubbed into this language.


5- The registered material must meet the following technical requirements in its delivery format: .mov or .mp4 HD with H264 coding


6- The participating short films will also be able to integrate the activities such as itinerant shows, film series organized by CAMTV and / or their use in environmental campaigns carried out by the Municipality of Tafí Viejo.


7- The filmmakers authorize the use of up to 10% of each work, with a view to the promotional exhibition of the Festival.


8- The short film will be considered a final copy.


9- For the registration of a work in both official competitions a download link must be sent or made through Festhome.


10- Selection: The selection of competing shorts such as the program during the event will be the responsibility of the festival organizers or a pre-selection jury if they so require.


11- Awards: The awards of the selected short films will be in charge of a JURY for each competition, designated by the organizers of the Festival and made up of people from the cinematographic, cultural and / or environmental theme. The JURY OF PRIZE, will choose the best short films of each competition. The ruling will be final and the public will be informed on the closing day of the festival. The Jury has the power to grant special mentions in those areas that it considers.


12- CONSENT. The sole presentation in the Festival implies the tacit and total acceptance of these regulations.
