Rules and Regulations

1. DATE AND PLACE OF THE EVENT: Sept 20 and through Sept 24th of 2025 in Cúcuta city, Colombia.

2. CATEGORIES: Films can participate in the ---- Official International Selection.
- Colombia High categories.
- Cine en Tu Comunidad.

3. SUBMISSIONS DATES:
10 SEP 2025

4. FILMS ELIGIBLE: Fiction, animated, and documentary Short Films and Feature Films that have been produced between 2024 and 2025.

5. length:

Short Films: 8 to 20 minutes in length, including credits.

Feature Films: 60 minutes in length or longer, including credits.

6. language: Films in their original language or in non-Spanish languages MUST be presented with Spanish subtitles.

7. SUBMISSIONS: Filmmakers participants must fill out the submission entry form in the FESTHOME platform.

8. Participants must upload a digital file of the film in High Definition (DCP, .MOV, .MP4, compression H.264) to any virtual platform and send by email the download link, or send by mail two (2) DVD or Blu-ray copies. Also, High Resolution photography, posters, and graphic and audio promotional material must be sent.

9. SHIPPING: Digital files must be sent by email to films@festival-cucuta.com, with the submission entry form. DVD and Blu-ray files must be sent by mail, with its box and cover art with all information properly labeled, to Festival Internacional de Cine de Cúcuta - FICCU 2025 to the mail address Calle 2N # 14E - 09 Villaprado, Cúcuta, Colombia. Please indicate in the envelope "Cultural material with no commercial value". The Festival is not responsible for any inconvenience that comes with material not sent to the address of the Festival's office.

10. JURY: National and international representatives of audio visual media, arts and culture.

11. awards: Three (3) films will be awarded from each category.

12. CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE: By the fact of submission, people responsible for films classified in the Official Selection, agree that their films can be displayed in different activities under the development of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Cúcuta - FICCU 2025, as well as the use of extract of images of their films for promotional purposes of the festival through social media. The material sent will NOT be returned and will become a part of FICCU's file for use in cultural non-profit activities. The festival is not responsible of any infractions related to copyright, since it is responsibility of who submit the film. Shipping expenses for the submission of films will be responsibility of the participants.
