The first Zacatlán International Film Festival, in one of Mexico's most beautiful magical towns, invites all filmmakers interested in sharing their creations with us—and, why not, stay and film? We'll be hosting screenings of submitted works in movie theaters, film clubs, art galleries, and schools.

All participants will receive recognition.

First place winners in each category will receive a handmade statuette bearing the Festival emblem. (Shipping costs will be borne by the winner.)

1. Filmmakers from all over the world are welcome to participate with projects of up to 15 minutes.

2. The works must be original and have exhibition rights.

3. The works can be in any format, but if selected, they will be required to convert them to DCP.

4. The material must have subtitles, preferably in Spanish, or alternatively, in english.

5. If a selected film wishes to attend the Festival, they will be provided with assistance to minimize travel, lodging, and food expenses.

6. The subject matter is open.

7. The use of AI is permitted.

8. Student works are accepted and will have a special category.

9. This call for submissions is launched by Cfilma in Zacatlán, in partnership with CANACINE Puebla.

10. There will be a feature film section within the Festival, by invitation only.
