映画祭の開始: 18 3月 2026      映画祭の終了: 22 3月 2026

The Miranchurito International Film Festival is proud to announce the launch of its second edition, taking place in March 2026—a celebration filled with emotion, emerging talent, and a deep appreciation for world cinema.

MIRANCHURITO FEST 2026 reaffirms its mission to promote both national and international filmmaking, offering a platform that highlights social, ethnic, cultural, ancestral, political, and economic diversity, while recognizing outstanding cinematic achievements.

More than just a showcase of talent, the festival aspires to be a space for dialogue, connection, and creative exchange, strengthening the bond between filmmakers and audiences, and underscoring the positive impact of cinema on society. We invite you to explore new perspectives, push creative boundaries, and join us in this celebration of audiovisual art.

Welcome to the Miranchurito Fest family.

Winning at MIRANCHURITO FEST means being recognized by a community that celebrates cinematic art with passion, commitment, and respect for diverse storytelling.

Each awarded film will receive the “Papialpa” statue, the official symbol of the festival, representing creative spirit, narrative strength, and the ancestral power behind stories that deserve to be told.

The following distinctions will be granted by the official jury:

Best National Fiction Short Film

Best National Documentary Short Film

Best International Fiction Short Film

Best International Documentary Short Film

Best Animated Short Film

Best One-Minute Film (Filminuto)

Emerging Talent Award – Debut Film (Ópera Prima)

The Papialpa Statue is more than just an award — it is a symbol of creative identity, narrative resilience, and artistic value, bestowed upon works that stand out for their language, impact, and authenticity.

1. Short Film duration
Submitted short films must not exceed 30 minutes in total runtime, including opening and closing credits. Any film that exceeds this limit will not be considered for selection.

2. language and subtitles
All films in a language other than Spanish must include embedded Spanish subtitles or a synchronized .SRT subtitle file. This requirement ensures accessibility for the jury and audience. Lack of subtitles will result in disqualification.

3. Year of Production
Only films produced between January 2022 and February 2026 will be accepted. This requirement ensures the festival showcases current and relevant content.

4. Submission Format
Films must be submitted in high-quality digital format, preferably .MP4 or .MOV, with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 (Full HD). Submissions are accepted via authorized platforms (e.g., Festhome) or through a direct download link (Google Drive or similar) sent to the official festival email. Physical copies or obsolete formats will not be accepted.

5. Originality and Copyright
All submitted works must be original, and participants must hold the full and verifiable rights for all elements included in their production, including but not limited to: visuals, music, sound, script, voice, actors, illustrations, animations, and any other content protected by intellectual property laws.

The participant declares and guarantees that:

• The work does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.

• They possess all necessary legal permissions, licenses, or rights assignments from all individuals and entities involved.

• In the case of including archival material, licensed music, or third-party elements, the participant must provide legal documentation proving legitimate use.

The festival is not responsible for any legal claims related to copyright, image rights, or any other legal violations. All legal responsibility lies solely with the participant.

6. Number of Entries per Participant
Each individual or entity may submit up to three different films per edition of the festival. Each submission must be registered separately and must meet all the requirements outlined in these rules.

7. Registration and Entry Fee
To complete the registration process, participants must:

• Complete the official online registration form.

• Pay the entry fee within the deadline specified in the official call for submissions.
Entry fees are non-refundable, even if the film is not selected or is later withdrawn by the participant. Payment of the fee implies full and unconditional acceptance of these rules and regulations.

8. Competition Categories
Films must be submitted to only one category per edition, as appropriate (Fiction Short, Documentary, Animation, etc.).

The organizing committee reserves the right to reassign a film to a different category if it better aligns with the festival’s curatorial criteria.

9. Mandatory Promotional Materials
At the time of submission, participants must include a digital press kit containing:

• Trailer or teaser (downloadable link or streaming)
• 3 to 5 high-resolution stills
• Official poster
• Synopsis (max. 500 characters)
• Director’s biography (max. 500 characters)
This material will be used exclusively for the non-commercial promotion of the festival.

10. Selection and Jury
The official selection will be made by a programming committee appointed by the festival. Selected works will enter the official competition and will be evaluated by a qualified and independent jury.
The decisions of the jury and the selection committee are final, non-negotiable, and not subject to appeal.

11. Exhibition and Promotional Use Authorization
By submitting a film, participants grant Miranchurito Fest the non-exclusive right to:

• Screen the film in in-person and/or virtual sessions during the festival.
• Use film fragments, stills, trailers, and promotional elements to promote the festival across digital media, social networks, print publications, and television.

This authorization does not involve the transfer of commercial rights nor implies the commercial use of the film without additional consent.

12. Personal Data Protection
All personal data provided by participants will be used exclusively for administrative and communication purposes related to the festival. In accordance with applicable data protection legislation (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR or equivalent local laws), personal data will not be shared with third parties without express consent.

13. Event Cancellation
In the event of force majeure, technical issues, social unrest, health emergencies, or organizational decisions, the festival reserves the right to reschedule, modify formats, or cancel the event without incurring any liability or obligation to compensate participants.

14. Acceptance of Terms
Submission of a film implies the full and unconditional acceptance of these rules. Any situation not covered in these regulations will be resolved exclusively by the festival’s organizing committee.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
