The Miranchurito International Film Festival is pleased to announce its opening and launch in March 2025.

The objective of “MIRANCHURITO FEST” is to promote national and international film talents, seeking a space where social, ethnic, cultural, ancestral, political, and economic diversity is promoted and to recognize the best cinematographic works presented to the festival.

MIRANCHURITO FEST seeks not only to be a showcase for talent, but also a space for dialogue and encounter, strengthening the connection between filmmakers and the audience, as well as promoting the positive impact of cinema on society. Our festival invites you to explore new perspectives and celebrate creativity without limits.

Participation in our festival "MIRANCHURITO FEST" gives you the chance to be one of the winners of the following categories.

Best National Fiction Short Film

Best National Documentary Short Film

Best International Fiction Short Film

Best International Documentary Short Film

Best Animation Short Film

Best Short Film

First Work Award

1. duration of Short Films
Submitted short films must not exceed 30 minutes, including credits. Works exceeding this time limit will not be considered for the competition.

2. Spanish subtitles
All films and short films that are in a language other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles. This is mandatory to facilitate understanding by the festival audience.

3. Year of Production
Only works produced in the last four years will be accepted. This ensures that the festival will showcase current and relevant productions.

4. Submission Format
Works must be submitted in digital format either by Festhome or by Drive to the mail, in high quality (preferably in .MP4 or .MOV format) and with a minimum resolution of 1080p. Physical copies will not be accepted.

5. Originality and Copyright
Submitted works must be original and must not infringe copyright. Filmmakers must have all rights to the image, music and other audiovisual elements included in their production.

6. Number of Works per Participant
Each participant may register up to three productions in the same edition of the festival.

If a participant wishes to register more than one work, each must be submitted separately.

7. Registration and Participation Fee
Participants must complete the online registration form and pay the participation fee within the indicated period. Registrations are non-refundable.

8. Competition Category
Films must be registered in a specific category (short fiction or documentary, animation, etc.). Productions can only compete in one category per edition.

9. Promotional Material
Each work must include a package of promotional materials (photos, trailer, synopsis) that the festival can use to promote the selected films.

10. Jury Decisions
The selection of works and the awards will be determined by a professional jury and its decision will be final and unappealable.

11. Exhibition Authorization
Participants authorize Miranchurito Fest to project their works during the in-person and virtual festival and to use fragments of them for promotional purposes in print, digital and social media.





  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
