Festival Internacional de Cine PRISMA (FICPRISMA) is an LGBTIQ+ film festival based in Colombia. After a first edition held as a screening showroom, FICPRISMA consolidates as an international Festival to welcome short and feature films (fiction, animation, documentary and experimental), from Colombia, Latin America and the World, while developing diverse academic activities, and extending the discussion to other arts such as photography and direct artistic intervention through performance.

In this second edition FICPRISMA will focus its content on Activism and Resistance.

Given the current situation and regulations in Colombia due to COVID 19, the Festival will be held in a hybrid format that combines on-site and virtual exhibition of the selected films.

OPEN CALL - FICPRISMA
October 22-25, 2021

Introduction
The PRISMA International Film Festival -FICPRISMA, accepts LGBTIQ+ works of any nationality for its three sections:

Official Feature Film Section
Official Short Film Section
Official Video Art/Experimental Section.

For this edition, the works to be considered for the Official Selection in its different categories must include ACTIVISM as an essential part of its narrative, aesthetic and/or thematic approach.

Priority will be given to works not previously exhibited in Colombia.

Works made during the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 will be received.

A short film is defined as any film with a duration of less than 30 minutes and a feature film is defined as any work with a duration of more than 60 minutes.

For the Video Art/Experimental category, works of any length are accepted.


SUBMISSION
Registration for the Festival will be open until Sunday, October 3 through the Festhome platform. For any additional information or inquiries, please contact us at ficprisma@gmail.com.
Registration for the Festival is free of cost in all the categories.


FORMATS
Once selected, the audiovisual works must be submitted for exhibition in one of the following formats: ProRes HD, AVI HD, MP4 HD or Blu Ray.


NOTIFICATION
Selected works will be informed by October 11, 2021 at the registered e-mail address.


PROMOTION
The organization may request additional material of the selected works (trailers, photographs, subtitles or others considered pertinent) to be used in the catalog, Festival reel and other promotional materials.

FICPRISMA is not responsible for possible copyright infractions, which are entirely and exclusively the responsibility of the person who submits the work.

BY SUBMITTING A WORK FOR CONSIDERATION IN ANY OF THE CATEGORIES OPEN FOR FICPRISMA 2021, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OUTLINED ABOVE.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In accordance with Article 1602 and S.S. of the Colombian Civil Code, registering your film obligates you to the conditions established in this call for entries and those set by the regulations governing film activity Law 397 of 1997, Law 814 of 2003, Decree 1080 of 2015 and Resolution 1021 of 2016.
The mere fact of registering your film does not imply being accepted or receiving any of the benefits granted by participation in FICPRISMA. For this, it must await selection by the curatorial committee.
