PANSPORT Cinema e Esporte Ltda. promotes and organizes the RIO DE JANEIRO INTERNATIONAL SPORTMOVIES FESTIVAL (FIFE), which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 9th to 15th, 2015, with free entrance for the audience.
Single Paragraph – The screening program of the FIFE can be exhibited in until 15 (fiftheen) other cities of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
Productions of Competitive Sections will be judged by an international Jury with up to 5 personalities of Movies, TV, Media, Sport, Education and Culture, that will award officially, without appeal, the official prizes.
For each section, the Jury will award a FIFE Prize and a Mention d’Honneur. In addition, will be delivered a FIFE Audience Special Prize, according to the votes of audience.

OFFICIAL RULES
Art. 1 – FIFE
PANSPORT Cinema e Esporte Ltda. promotes and organizes the RIO DE JANEIRO INTERNATIONAL SPORTMOVIES FESTIVAL (FIFE), which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 9th to 15th, 2015, with free entrance for the audience.

Art. 2 – AIMS
FIFE aims to spread the knowledge and diffusion of sport movies and videos in its different languages and production forms. With its selective and competitive character, FIFE also aims to contribute to the promotion of sport practice through cinema, to the best quality of sport images, encouraging producers to broadcast their sportmovies, underlining Olympic spirit, bringing about the meeting and co-operation of those who work creatively in sport broadcasting, stimulating and spreading the study, discussion and knowledge of creative and cultural issues related to these media.
Art. 3 – CONTENTS
FIFE is open to all television, movie and new media productions dealing with sport, or having sport in all its different expressions and manifestations as their main subject. Productions with pornographical contents will not be accepted, neither will works inspired by political, religious or racial fanaticisms.
Art. 4 – SECTIONS
§ 1° - All the movies, vídeos, TV shows, shorts and full length productions about
any kind of sport and its various expressions, produced in the period
2011-2015, can be selected to compete in the following sections:
1 -Competitive Sections for Feature Films: fiction and documentary films with running time superior to 60min;
2 Competitive Section for Short Films: fiction and documentary films with running time until 60min;
§ 2° - FIFE promotes also non competitive sections, as follows:
1- Best Sportmovies of All Times: Great hits of audience and critic of all times (feature or short, fiction or documentary);
2- Olympic Sports Memories: Feature or Short Films, no matter the year of production, inspired in the Olympic Games.
3- TV Shows and New Tecnhologies: Reports, Talk-shows and TV Sport Programs;
4- Sport and Advertising: Advertising productions inspired in the world of sports.
Art. 5 – PRIZES

Art. 6 – SELECTION OF WORKS
To submit a work to FIFE, it is necessary to send within and no later than May 9th, 2015, the following items:
- The Entry Form dully filled in and signed;
- 3 DVD copies (NTSC System, Zone 4 or All, without menu);
- All works in language other than English or Portuguese must bear subtitles or be commented in one of the above mentioned languages;
- A brief synopsis (up to 500 spaces);
- Photographic documentation in digital format (jpeg high resolution) to be used for the Official Catalogue, the Press Office and for the promotional campaign of FIFE;
- 3 copies of the trailler up to 3min in DVD (NTSC, Zone 4 or All) edited separately from the main work to be possibly included in FIFE website for promotional purposes.
- Bio-filmography of the Director.

Art. 7 – ENTRY FORMS
The Entry Forms shall be filled in English, Spanish or Portuguese only. A not readable, not undestandable, incomplete documentation will result in the exclusion of the work from the Festival selection process.
Art. 8 – PARTICIPANT WORKS
The copies of DVDs are and wil be used by FIFE only for cultural, non-profit purposes and the best sequences (up to 3min) may be broadcast by media as promotion before, during and after the Fest.
Art 9 – TRANSPORT AND INSURANCE
Transport and Insurances charges from the country of origin are to be paid by participants. The package containing foreign videos or DVDs must be marked “No commercial value, for cultural purposes only”.
Art. 10 – GENERAL TERMS
Unforeseen cases in these Rules are to be solved by Festival Direction.
