Short film festival directed by women. Men with stories about women can also participate from a positive point of view, they would enter the line: Men in Short.

The Festival will award cash prizes or articles related to the cinema, as long as it obtains the support of companies, ministries or national or international organizations that support the event.

The Festival undertakes to deliver the valuation of the prizes in an original trophy, as long as the sponsor guarantees this.

NATIONAL PARTICIPATING RULES


1-The short films to contest must have a minimum footage of 5 minutes and maximum of 15 minutes, without the initial or ending credits.


2-Fiction shorts and quiz documentaries may have a free theme with the exception of participants in the Men in Short Section.


3-All projects to competition must retain a non-reprehensible thematic treatment, which will allow a greater promotion of the proposal and an audience open to all tastes and ages.


4-Short films to contest must have a production date limited to 2018.


5-Short films to contest may have participated in other festivals or contests in the country or outside the country, which are not on the web open to the public.


6-Contest participants, assign the exhibition rights to the Festival and other available screens, website and/or seasonal television program of the event indefinitely, as well as additional events to where the Festival is invited.


7-The Organizing Committee of the Festival guarantees the rights of the participants, not assigning copies to third parties who require it.


8- The Festival requires the delivery of an art for the poster to promote the short film, in 11 x 17 vertical format in a digital file in JPG, vector or PDF with 200 dpi or higher in image resolution.


9- Each participant must fill out the Festival SmPC and send a digital photo of the director conducting on stage and one or more frames of their short film to promote the audiovisuals in any means necessary, as well as in the catalog.


10- All material that participants submit to the Festival Organizing Committee, can be used as advertising of the event in any means necessary, for promotional purposes.


11- Each short film must be delivered in HD (1920 x 1080p), MP4-H-264 format, recorded in high image and sound resolution, allowing its projection of quality on giant screen. No subtitles in any language.


12- Once the short film has been received, the Festival Director has the right to reject the project for any consideration that affects the main objectives of the event.


13- The short films will be added to the reel of each function, to the extent that the projects are delivered and the number of times they are displayed, will depend on the Billboard of the Festival. Each function will be approximately 90 minutes.


14- The Festival will award cash prizes or articles related to cinema, provided that it obtains the support of companies, ministries or national or international organizations that support the event.


15- The Festival undertakes to deliver the prize stakes in an original trophy, as long as the sponsor guarantees this.


16- National categories to be awarded are: Best Short Film Fiction: First Place, Second Place, Third Place. Best Documentary Short Film, Best Animated Short Film, Special Jury Prize, Audience Award, Best Editing, Best Poster, Best Production Design, Best Music or Original Song for a Short Film, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Trailer, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress and Men's Short Section.


17- National projects must deliver promotional trailer. This is part of the Festival's promotional resources and they are in competition. It's mandatory.


18- The category Best Short Film directed by Men, only enters the contest with stories about women from a valuable point of view and only participate in this category. It is mandatory to provide all the project information, arts, photos, official technical sheet of the Festival, in digital format to compete.


19- The Festival will be held in March of each year and the dates may be altered at the convenience of the event.


20- Short films must be delivered in digital support no later than February 19, 2020 and will only enter competition and display if they have previously submitted all the required digital information. There will be no extension.


21- Participants may submit up to two projects in two distinct categories: Fiction and Documentary.


22- The Director and the Jury have the right to vary or change any of these rules for aesthetic or professional reasons that warrant it.


23- The participation of national and international projects in the Festival, is an automatic acceptance of all the rules and requirements of the event.
