The 27th Kinoarte Film Festival, to be held from October 30th to November 8th, is receiving applications for its competitive sessions of short films. Films up to 25 minutes long, produced from January 2025 may participate in the Ibero-American, National, Paranaense and Londrinense competitions.

11. Best short film by Competitiva Paranaense official jury: Francelino França Trophy and prize of R$ 2,000.00

12. Best short film popular jury: Francelino França Trophy.


Local Short Film Competition

13. Best short film in the Competitive Local official jury: Francelino França Trophy and prize of R$ 1,000.00

14. Best short film popular jury: Francelino França Trophy.

A) MOVIES

1. Only films completed after January 2025, and which have not been shown in previous editions of the Festival will be accepted;

2. Films captured on any medium and produced in Latin America, Spain and Portugal can be submitted;

3. Films cannot exceed 24 minutes and 59 seconds, including credits

4. All films not spoken in Portuguese must have subtitles in Portuguese;

B) REGISTRATIONS
Entries must be made by one of the following methods:

1. Registration through the Festhome virtual platform (http://festhome.com)

*Film registration is only required by one of the above methods. Films submitted through the sites do not need to be posted by post and films sent by post do not need to be submitted online.

For registration by post: send a single envelope containing:

1. DVD movie (playable on any DVD player

2. Application form duly completed and signed (form available at http://kinoarte.org/festival/)

- For online registration, it will be necessary to register the film on the Festhome online platform, register it at the Kinoarte Film Festival, being necessary to complete all the steps and receive confirmation of registration

- Non-Brazilian films registered in the Ibero-American show are subject to a fee for registration through the virtual platform,

- Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. The festival organization is not responsible for any technical problems in accessing the site.

- There is no limit of entries per person or producer.

D) EXHIBITIONS

1. The selected films will be shown in digital format (DCP or full HD video file (1920x1080).

2. It is entirely up to the production of the selected films to finalize the digital files and send them within the deadline stipulated by the organization

3. The selected films will be part of one of the four competitive short film sessions: Ibero-Americana, Nacional, Paranaense and Londrinense and will compete for the respective cash prizes for the best films of each session (by the official jury), Udihara trophies for the best short film each session by the popular and official jury, in addition to the Editing, Direction, Art Direction, Sound, Cinematography and Screenplay trophies (in the Paranaense and Nacional shows

4. The registered films will not be returned (in the case of DVD copies) and will integrate the Kinoarte collection, having their rights released for free exhibitions that can be held by the Institute within the Kinoarte Mostra Curtas and Kinoclube projects.
