Annual Festival for amateur short films.

Each Spring, a selection of 30 to 60 films is presented.

1 - CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Submitted films must be produced without a production company, in an amateur way. We accept:

- Films produced individually
- Films produced as part of an association or school (college, high school, film school…).
- Only french directors.

The festival charges no entry fee.


2 - FILMS

The festival accepts all kinds of films (fiction, documentary, experimental, animation, clip… ).
Films cannot be longer than 15 minutes, including credits.


3 - SUBMISSIONS

Selection is made in two stages. Films must be submitted before Wednesday, 13th of January, 2016.

Stage 1 : In this first stage, film-makers will send their video files to the festival. Festival's programmers will give an initial response in the following fortnight.

Stage 2 : if the film is accepted, another viodeo file will be asked for pre-selection: MOV, AVI o MPEG4. It is advised to send the files in good quality, but they shouldn't be heavier than 1.5 GBs.

Film-makers will then be asked to complete an entry form at the festival's website : www.festival-prototype.com


4 - SELECTION

The selection comitee will select 30 to 60 films
The final short list will be available one month before the festival
The presence of selected film-makers is important in both festival's evenings (see 6 – Awards).


5 - PROJECTIONS

Selected films will be screened Thursday, 17th, Friday 18th and Saturday 19th, March, 2016 at the recreation center in Ken Saro-Wiwa - M° Buzenval (Paris 20e).


6 - Awards

Films in competition will be split in 2 groups. Film-makers in each group will the jurors in charge of awarding the best film from the other group, thus awarding a Golden Prototype. Absent film-makers may be represented by a member of their crew.

The attending audience will vote and award the Audience Award.
The festival staff will decide the “?” Award .


7 - TRANSPORT AND ACCOMODATION

Non Parisian film-makers will be accomodated in local private homes for the duration of the festival. Their transport expenses will ve covered up to 50 Euro.


8 - EXHIBITION RIGHTS

By submitting your film to the Festival prototype Vidéo you accept the present regulations in full.

Submitters declare they are the films' cpyright holders.
Films screened during the festival can be screened in other special sessions and can be presented for selection in other festivals. Films will be presented on DVD, or through the communication channles of the festival or the Society.


9 - SITUATIONS NOT FORESSEN IN THESE REGULATIONS

The event's organisers are in charge of solving all cases not foreseen in these regulations.
