The 5th FESTIVALITO will take place in December 2026 in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina. Following the Festival, a traveling program will tour various cities and countries.

Our program, featuring both Argentine and international films, is designed to create opportunities for dialogue and reflection after each screening, recognizing every child's perspective as that of an active audience member. The Festival encourages discussion and promotes an understanding of cinema as a collective artistic experience.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

DATE AND VENUE

The 5th Festivalito de Cine will take place from December 10 to 13, 2026, in the City of San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Río Negro, Patagonia, Argentina.

OBJECTIVES

The 5th Festivalito de Cine aims to promote high-quality audiovisual works that reflect the filmmaker's artistic vision while encouraging critical thinking and positive values. The festival seeks to introduce children to audiovisual culture from an early age, fostering a critical approach to media content.

SECTIONS

The 5th Festivalito de Cine will feature several sections. In all cases, the selection of the films will be carried out by the Festival organization.

Feature Film Showcase: Open to Argentine and international fiction, animation, experimental and musical feature films with a running time of over 50 minutes. Films must be in the Spanish language.

Short Film Competition: Open to Argentine and international fiction, animation, experimental and musical short films with a maximum running time of 20 minutes (including credits). Films must be in the Spanish language.

ELIGIBILITY

The call is open to short and feature films of any nationality completed between 2024 and 2026. Commercials, television news reports, television series, and nature or environmental documentaries produced in a television format will not be accepted.

Short films must have a maximum running time of 20 minutes (including credits), while feature films must have a running time exceeding 50 minutes.

There are no restrictions regarding nationality or subject matter. Films containing dialogue must be in the Spanish language.

SUBMISSION OF FILMS

Entries to the 5th Festivalito de Cine must be submitted by the producers or filmmakers holding the exhibition rights to the work. Submission is free of charge for Argentine productions.

Applicants must complete the online entry form and provide a private screening link.

The submission deadline is October 30, 2026.

Entries may be submitted through the Festhome platform.

COPYRIGHT

The organization of the 5th Festivalito de Cine assumes that production companies, producers, or directors submitting a film hold all necessary exhibition rights. Under no circumstances shall the Festival organization be held liable for any infringement of these Rules and Regulations or any third-party rights.

OFFICIAL SELECTION

The official selection results will be communicated to applicants on November 15, 2026.

If no notification has been received after that date, the submitted work shall be deemed not selected and therefore will not be included in the Festival program.

Once a film has been selected, it may not be withdrawn from the Festival program.

If selected, the entrant must provide the Festival organization with a screening-quality copy of the film in Spanish, at least three high-resolution digital stills, a synopsis, and the film's technical information. These materials may be used on the Festival's website and social media platforms.

The entrant must also provide any promotional materials required for distribution to the media during the Festival.

By submitting a selected film, the entrant authorizes the 5th Festivalito de Cine to publish and disseminate the film's title, images, and information, as well as the names of its cast and crew. The entrant also authorizes the Festival to use excerpts of up to three minutes from the film for promotional purposes, including television, online media, and Festival trailers.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS

Submission of a film implies full acceptance of these Rules and Regulations by all participants.

The organizers of the 5th Festivalito de Cine reserve the right to issue any additional rules or provisions deemed necessary for the proper organization of the Festival.

The interpretation of these Rules and Regulations, as well as any additional provisions, shall be the exclusive responsibility of the organization of the 5th Festivalito de Cine.
