映画祭の開始: 28 8月 2025      映画祭の終了: 05 9月 2025

In 2025 the festival will take place in Rio de Janeiro and Niterói, and submissions are open for short and feature films on environmental issues, Human Rights and sustainability.

The festival shows annually the best recent films and videos on environmental issues, to create awareness, provoke debate and to widen knowledge and conscience on the need of urgent changes in the behavior of people, governments and companies, in order to preserve the planet.

All screenings are free of charge and some films might be screened online, with all security granted and geo-blocked to Brazil, if necessary.

AWARDS:

The jury will select the best Brazilian feature film and the best international feature film; the best short film, fiction or animation and the best short documentary; the best direction, photography and editing in these categories, and may award up to two special prizes. The public will also choose the best feature film and best short film of the festival.

All award-winning films will receive a trophy. The festival may also award cash prizes; in which case the amounts will be announced yearly

Submissions are open for feature and short documentaries, fiction films, experimental and animations on Human Rights and environmental issues.

To participate, visit our website at www.filmambiente.com and select one of the available platforms to submit your film - according to the following requirements:

2. Not shown or released in cinemas, television, home video or internet in Brazil;

3. Have a digital selection copy in high definition (1920X1080);

4. Not available on the Internet.

NOTE: films of different lengths or completed and publicly shown in Brazil may be submitted, but can only be selected for non-competitive sessions.

To submit:

1. Fill out and send the submission form, where you must include a link to view the film.

2. The copy must contain subtitles in Portuguese or English, if the film is not spoken in either language.

3. Be aware that the information provided in the submission form will be used in the catalog, should the film be selected for any of the festival categories;

4. It is at the discretion of the selection committee to include the film in any of the festival categories;

5. By submitting your film, you agree to up to 2 screenings during the festival - and 5 more at events organized throughout the year, including events in Portugal and Africa. Should this happen, the production will always be consulted to confirm your authorization.

6. After selection, the film may no longer be removed from the program.

SELECTION

1. The results will be announced in July on the festival website, and only the selected films will be contacted by the festival;

2. If the original language of the film is not Portuguese, a dialogue list in English with time-code must be provided to allow translation and subtitling. Films spoken in a language other than English must provide a screening copy with English subtitles;

3. Films spoken in Portuguese need a screening copy with English subtitles. Otherwise, a dialogue list with time-code in this language must be provided. The festival will indicate how to send the screening copy

4. The selected films must send the festival two good photos of the film, a poster, and a photo of the director (300 dpi), a short synopsis (max 350 characters), a link to the trailer and two minutes of the film for advertising purposes. If you do not have the latter, you automatically allow the festival to extract these two minutes from the screening copy previously sent.

Please send all informations via Wetransfer or any other program that allows data transfer. Do not send paper.

5. The film may be removed from the festival by the organizers if the format of the screening copy is not as previously indicated.

INVITEES AND TRANSPORTATION

1. The festival may invite directors of the selected films to present and discuss their film with the audience, providing hotel and transportation. Other members of the crew are also welcome to attend, but support from the festival will be limited.

  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
