Celebrating our 11th edition, the Firm Film Festival in Valladolid (Spain) is searching for the most extraordinary voices in the global panorama. Our mission is to bring incisive, independent cinema to a passionate audience, connecting Culture, Cinema, and Enterprise to boost both emerging and established talent.

1.0 General Submission Requirements

1.1 Films are eligible for the Firm Film Festival competitions if they meet the following criteria:

• Feature Films: Runtime of over 30 minutes.

• Short Films: Runtime of under 30 minutes.

• Films of any nationality and production year are accepted.

• Works in any language are accepted. For the selection
process, if the original language is not Spanish, the film must include english or Spanish subtitles. If the film is selected for public screening, providing a copy with Spanish subtitles will be mandatory.

• Valladolid Short Film Category: The director must have been born or be a resident in Valladolid, or the short film must have been entirely or partially shot in the city/province of Valladolid.

• AI-Generated Short Film Category: The work must integrate the use of Artificial Intelligence tools in a significant part of its visual and sound creation.

1.2 Fees and Submission

• Submission fees are non-refundable.

• Submissions must be made by completing the online form on the platform. Printed versions or additional physical documentation are neither required nor accepted.

• Screenings for the selection process will be conducted via the submission platform.


2.0 Competitions and awards

2.1 The official selection and the Firm Film Festival awards will be decided by a selection committee and a professional jury appointed by the organisation.

2.2 The award categories for this edition are as follows:

3.0 Selection and Screenings

3.1 If your film is selected, the Festival will notify
the primary contact provided during submission. Upon confirmation, the official Firm Film Festival laurels will be sent to you in digital format for promotional purposes.

3.2 In order to promote the selected works and the festival itself, the organisation is authorised to use film stills or short clips (less than 10% of the total duration, up to a maximum of 3 minutes) in media and social networks nationally and internationally.

3.3 The Festival reserves the right to screen the selected films during the event dates without paying screening fees.

3.4 The general programming, dates, and schedules of the public screenings are at the sole discretion of the Festival management.


4.0 Acceptance and Legal Matters

4.1 Submission to the Festival implies full acceptance of these rules and terms.

4.2 The management and board of the Firm Film Festival reserve the right to make decisions regarding any unforeseen circumstances not covered in these rules, as well as to make justified exceptions. The final decision of the jury is unappealable.

4.3 The participant declares and guarantees that they hold all intellectual property, exhibition, and distribution rights for the submitted work, indemnifying the Firm Film Festival against any legal liability or claims from third parties.







  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
