FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF THE FIRST EDITION, GABES CINEMA FEN FESTIVAL IS HOLDING A 4th EDITION FROM 6 TO 12 MAY IN GABES.
The festival, which considers Arab cinema as a priority by highlighting the new dynamics that it knows with openness on other cinemas and visual arts, returns with a new edition that it hopes will be up to the expectations of its public and actors of the cinema sector.
We extend an open invitation for Arab directors to register their long, short, documentary, feature or experimental films on the website www.gabescinemafen.com.

Article 1:
Gabes Cinema Fen is a film festival open to the visual arts and new modes of artistic expression such as Virtual Reality.
The festival was created to promote Arab cinema and help the emergence of new talents in the Arab region, and to create a film dynamic in the southern region of Tunisia.
The festival is organized by the Focus Gabes association.
Article 2:
The filmmakers of the works selected in competition may be invited by the festival.
Article 3:
The films proposed for selection and competing in the official competition have to be produced after 1t January 2018.
Article 4:
Registration of films is free of charge.
Article 5:
Authors may submit several works for competition, but only one work will be selected per section.
Article 6:
The competition is open to films whose directors are from Arab origin.
However, the other sections (World Cinema, Virtual Reality) are open to other nationalities.
Article 7:
Registration forms and movies links and video copies must be sent to the festival office (Avenue FarhatHachad, Gabès Tunisie) no later than 3rd March 2022 (date as postmark).
Copies sent for selection will not be returned to the sender.
Article 8:
All films submitted for selection must be in their original version and subtitled in French or english.
Article 10:
The director and the rightful owner(s) of the film(s) undertake not to withdraw the film(s) as soon as the festival programme is announced at the press conference that will take place in early March 2020.
Article 11:
The selected films can compete for:
Prize for best feature film fiction (17,000 Tunisian Dinar)
Prize for the best feature documentary (12,000 Tunisian Dinar)
Prize for best short film (6000 Tunisian Dinar)
Article 12:
The presidents and members of the juries are appointed by the festival team.
No one associated in any way with the production or marketing of any of the films in competition may be part of the jury.
Article 13:
For the screening of the selected works, producers must provide the following original formats: Blu-ray, DCP and a backup copy of a DVD.
Article 14:
The cost of sending copies and customs duties are the responsibility of the shippers
Article 15:
The festival shall bear the cost of insuring the copies, from the time they are received until the time the copy is reshipped. In the event of loss or damage during this period, the festival is only liable for the value of the copy. Only copies in good projection condition will be accepted.
