Getafe en Corto is a short film festival organized by Onda Vecinal Getafe, in collaboration with the Getafe City Council.

It will be held from February 23 to 27, 2027, at 7:30 p.m., at Espacio Mercado de Getafe, Plaza de la Constitución, 5, 28901 Getafe, Madrid.

Jury Award for Best Short Film.

Jury Award - for Best Direction.

Jury Award - fur Best Performance.

Premio del Jurado - Mejor Cortometraje Internacional.

Audience Award.

Getafe en Corto 2027 Participation Guidelines

Short films that meet the following requirements may participate:

1. Short films must not exceed 13 minutes in length, including credits.

2. Short films submitted to Getafe en Corto must have been produced after January 2022.
3. Short films of all themes and genres are welcome.

4. International productions have their own category in the registration process.

5. All selected works will be eligible for the following awards:

- Jury Prize for Best Short Film
- Jury Prize for Best Director

- Jury Prize for Best Performance

- Jury Prize for Best Screenplay

- Jury Prize for Best International Short Film (Entried in this category)

5. "La Chevela" will be awarded in all categories.

6. More than one short film may be submitted. 7. Participation implies acceptance of the above rules, the interpretation and application of which corresponds to the organization.

8. As a necessary requirement for selection, the attendance of at least one member of the team is required to present the short film.

9. The owner of the rights to the short film authorizes the free reproduction of images and inserts (max. 1 minute) from their short film in press, television, and publications for the promotion of Getafe en Corto.

10. A registration fee will be charged for each short film.

11. Any changes to these rules due to error or omission will be made public immediately and will have retroactive effect.

12. This will be an accessible festival for people with hearing impairments; therefore, it is mandatory that the short films be subtitled in Spanish. These subtitles must be clear to help viewers follow the story. If your short film is selected, in addition to submitting the film for screening, you must attach a subtitle file compliant with the UNE 153010 standard.

If you are unable to do so, we have agreements with various companies to adapt subtitles to this standard.

Submission Location and Method:

1. Getafe en Corto will be held from February 23 to 27 at Espacio Mercado de Getafe, Plaza de la Constitución, 5, 28901 Getafe, Madrid.

2. Short films must be submitted via the Festhome platform. Other platforms may be enabled during the submission process.
