1º GRITO QUEER FESTIVAL ()

The GRITO QUEER Film Festival is a first cinema show dedicated exclusively to films of fantastic genre referring to queer horror (horror, thrillers, trash, gore, b-movies, fantasy, science fiction) held in the city of São Paulo-BR. Its first edition will take place from October 25 to 31, 2021 on the Cinebrac platform (https://cinebrac.com.br/), showing contemporary audiovisual works and historical rescue related to the themes of the queer genre.

O Festival de Cinema GRITO QUEER é a primeira mostra de cinema dedicada exclusivamente a filmes de gênero fantástico referentes ao horror queer (horror, thrillers, trash, gore, b-movies, fantasia, ficção científica) realizada em São Paulo-BR. Sua primeira edição acontecerá de 25 a 31 de outubro de 2021, exibindo obras audiovisuais contemporâneas e de resgate histórico ligadas às temáticas do gênero queer.

The award will be an online certificate of Honor to the Merit.

ABOUT THE SUBMISSION

- All submissions must be done by email gritoqueerfestival@gmail.com;

- Submission period for 1º Grito Queer begins in May 1st, 2021 (01/05/2021);

- Submission period for 1º Grito Queer ends in July 31st 31, 2021 (31/07/2021);

- Movies submited out of the period will not be considered forcuratorial analisys.

- Movies submited in previos editions will be automatically declassified;

- Theres no limit of submissions per participant;

- Every submission MUST contain an Exhibiton Authorization Term fullfilled and signed by the responsible.

- The submission e-mail must also contain: Press kit with movie synopsis, promotional stills and movie poster (formats .JPG ou .PNG, RGB minimum 300 dpi, minimum size 1800x1200px);

- The submission e-mail MUST contain a link for the screener;

- The movie must be hosted in video streaming platforms (Vimeo or Youtube), protected by password or private link. Video archives hosted in cloud services will also be accepted (Dropbox, Google Drive and others) as long as the download doesn’t have an expiration date;

- It is PREFERABLE for the movie not to be already in public access throughout the web;

-In case of a foreign language movie (any other than brazilian portuguese), a subtitles archive MUST be sent in the submission e-mail, in .SRT format, in portuguese, english or spanish.

ABOUT THE SELECTION AND RESULTS

- The curatorship will be done by a specialized team;

- The responsibles for the selected movies will be contacted in August 10th, on the e-mail used for submission;

- On that moment, the final archive will be requested for the exhibit. It must be on format .MKV, .MP4 or .AVI with a 10GB máximum size, in a download link with no expiration date;

- At that first moment, we ask for the responsibles not to publicize the selection, but to wait for the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCE on Grito Queer Festival site and socials.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

- The full program of 1º Grito Queer, with detailed schedule for every movie, will be announced in September, on Grito Queer site and socials.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

- 1º Grito Queer will happen on October 25 to 31, 2021 on the Cinebrac platform (https://cinebrac.com.br/) with the possibility of temporarily streaming all festival’s content freely through limited time;

- The exhibit will be completely free for public access during it’s running days.
