PARTICIPANTS

Participation is open to international short filmmakers.

∙ All persons or groups who have made a short film after 1 January 2022 are eligible to participate.

∙ Works submitted in previous editions are not eligible to participate.

∙ Communication campaigns and other commercial campaigns are not accepted.

REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF SHORT FILMS
Registration will be done electronically (online): info@ospelfimils.com and through Festhome.

Individuals and groups wishing to participate must fill in the registration form electronically and attach the following documents:

∙ Short synopsis of the short film (2 lines).

∙ Still of the short film for the programme.

∙ Technical file of the short film.
There is no limit to the number of works to be submitted.

Each entry must be submitted once.

SUBMISSION OF WORKS
The short film will be uploaded from the entry form or from Vimeo.

The original short film must be downloadable in MP4 format.

There are two options for uploading the short film, from the same entry form or via Vimeo:

The works must be submitted in Basque, Spanish or subtitled in one of these languages.

The duration of the works submitted to the competition must not exceed 20 minutes 00 seconds, credits included.

CALENDAR
∙ Registration period: from 1 November 2022 to 1 December 2022.

∙ II HATOR HATOR HORROR FEST: from 16 to 18 December 2022.
∙ Public judging and awards ceremony: 18 December 2022.

JURY
The works submitted will be previously selected by a jury appointed for this purpose.

The jury's decision will be announced on the same day as the screening.
The public will vote in an open ballot, and in the event of a tie, the jury will be the one to tip the balance.

SCREENINGS
The selected films will be screened as part of the II HATOR HATOR HORROR FEST programme from 16th to 18th December 2022 at the Soreasu cinemas in Azpeitia.

- BEST K SARIAK SHORT FILM (The winning short film will receive a great prize; it will be screened in the K-sariak section of the Zinemaldia of Donostia in 2023).

OBSERVATIONS
Participants undertake to transfer the broadcasting rights of their works to the Festival.

The organisation assumes that the participants have the screening rights of the works they present. In any case, the organisation is exempted from any responsibility for any infringement of these rules.

The works submitted will form part of the Festival and will be broadcast on cultural and educational channels, guaranteeing that they will not be shown publicly for commercial or profit-making reasons.

The submission of works to the competition implies full acceptance of these rules.
