The Huarte Tipu Films film festival aims to promote short films and establish the medium-length film as a film format in its own right, by providing a dedicated platform for screening and promotion that supports emerging filmmakers.

Participants
There are two categories: the general category and the local category
General category: open theme. People of any nationality or origin may take part.
- Youth section (short/medium-length films): People aged 12 to 17.
- 18+ section (short/medium-length films): People aged 18 and over.
Local category: Open to all residents of Huarte (registered on the local council’s register). There are no restrictions on subject matter, and voting will be by public vote.
- Youth section (short/medium-length films): People aged 12 to 17.

Compatibility of categories: Entry into the Local Category does not preclude the possibility of competing simultaneously in the General Category, provided that the entry meets the technical and emerging filmmaker requirements for the latter.
Technical specifications for entries (Film duration)
The maximum permitted duration of entries, which must include the end credits in the calculation, shall be:
Short films: up to 15 minutes
Mid-length films: up to 60 minutes.
All entries must comply with the professional technical standards set out below to ensure they can be screened correctly:
Submission format: digital format only
Resolution | Full HD (1920 x 1080)

- Jury
The Culture Department of Huarte Town Council will appoint a jury comprising an odd number of members, whose identities will be announced at the start of the competition to ensure their impartiality.
- Film entries
All films must be entered via the Festhome online platform (festhome.com). To enter a film, the director, or their guardian or responsible adult if the director is a minor, must create a free account on the platform and register the film with full details and technical information: title, short and long synopses, year of production, languages, running time, names and roles of the technical crew and main cast, and a link to the trailer. It will also be necessary to attach the following visual material: a photo of the director, the official poster and stills from the film.
In addition, the video file must be uploaded, provided it is a single file in a single format and does not exceed a maximum size of 20 GB; a link to a Vimeo video may also be provided.
Once all the mandatory fields have been completed, the entry will be ready to be submitted to the competition.
Acceptance of the terms and conditions.
Participation in the Huarte Tipu Films Festival implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. The organisers reserve the right to exclude any entries containing content that violates human dignity or incites discrimination on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race or any other personal or social circumstance.
Disclaimer: The organisers assume that those submitting entries hold the rights to screen them. However, the festival accepts no liability for claims of intellectual property infringement made by third parties; the person submitting the entry is solely liable in law.
Assignment for promotional purposes: The rights holders authorise the festival to use up to a maximum of 3 minutes of footage from their entry for dissemination in the media, on social media and in non-profit institutional promotional material.
Protection of minors: In works in which minors participate or appear, it is essential that the persons responsible for the entry possess and provide the organisers with authorisation signed by the parents or legal guardians. The responsibility for obtaining such authorisation lies exclusively with the participant.
In accordance with the Organic Law on Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), the personal data provided will be processed for the sole purpose of organising the competition.
