IMAGINA 2030 is a short film festival aimed at giving visibility and dissemination to stories, initiatives, projects and narratives that explicitly contribute to the care and protection of our planet and its inhabitants, highlighting the relevant role that each person plays as an agent of transformation and improvement of our environment.
Piece of artistic work related to the spirit of the festival as well as delivery of a diploma.
CATEGORIES
The audiovisual works that wish to participate must do so taking into account the nature of Short Film, that is, works with a duration of less than 30 minutes, as well as being framed in one of the following categories:
Fiction
Documentary
In both categories, the main theme must include elements linked to the development and sustainability of the planet and its inhabitants as a significant element and with a relevant presence. To do so, the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a guide. It is important to point out that the works are NOT required to explicitly mention the SDGs as such, but to convey with their content the concerns that the SDGs address, and that they cover a wide spectrum related to the field of development, sustainability and the improvement of living conditions.
In order to encourage the participation of non-professionals from the audiovisual world, the works may be recorded using any recording medium, as long as the image quality meets minimum quality standards.
To be accepted in IMAGINA 2030, all the works will have to be uploaded by their creators to the Festhome digital platform, not accepting works sent by other means.
languageS
The short films may be in any language in the world, as long as they include Spanish subtitles.
DATE OF PRODUCTION
The short films submitted must have been produced after January 1, 2022.
Each author or producer may submit a maximum of two works, regardless of the category.
FESTIVAL ATTENDANCE
The filmmakers/producers, or failing that a representative, of the shorts selected as winners, who reside less than 150 km from the venue (Madrid), must attend the Festival, otherwise the short film will be disqualified. This clause will not apply to international short films or from other parts of Spain. The latter, if they are winners and cannot make an appearance, will send a greeting video to be screened at the festival.
Submitting a short to the contest implies acceptance of the rules.
