The section will screen children’s feature length films that adhere to globally recognized standards of excellence in film-making.
Eligibility
• Live Action Features, Animation and Documentary Features are eligible for this Section
• Films with duration of 60 minutes or more will be considered features
• Only features completed after 1st June 2017 and not submitted in previous ICFFIs are eligible for submission.
• All Indian films should either be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification, India or have obtained exemption under Section 9 of Cinematograph Act, 1952. Films that are certified “A” by CBFC are not eligible.
Jury Competition International
The Chairperson of CFSI appoints the members and Chairperson of the Jury. In the absence of Chairperson, the Festival Director will appoint the members of the jury. The Jury is composed of five eminent personalities from India and abroad. A person who has participated in the production/ promotion of any film selected for the section may not serve on the Jury. Chairperson or CFSI’s representative may attend jury deliberations but will take not part in the voting. Jury members are sworn to secrecy. Jury discussions ballots remain strictly confidential.
Children’s Jury Competition International
The Chairperson of CFSI appoints the members of the International Children’s Jury from amongst the child delegates attending the Festival. In the absence of Chairperson, the Festival Director will appoint the members of the jury. The Children’s Jury is composed of five children aged 10 to 16, representing regional diversity. At least three members of the children’s jury must be girls.
