The International Short Film Festival "Movie Mouse— is a short film competition with an official award ceremony for the winners.

The festival was created to identify talented filmmakers and promote short films.

*Submitted projects are reviewed and evaluated by a professional jury consisting of at least three Russian and international experts in the field of cinematography.

Stages:

All films sent by cinematographers are reviewed by the jury members, after which some of them separately in each category gets into the official selection (LONGLIST).

Depending on the number of films that have passed the official selection, further stages of selection are formed in each category – SEMIFINAL, final (SHORTLIST), nominees (NOMINEE) for the award, winner (WINNER) - the Grand Prix of the festival.

The organizers of the festival reserve the right to conduct the selection both sequentially in all stages, and to skip some of them, depending on the number of participants in each category.

All finalists and nominees in each category are invited to the award ceremony by email. All authors who have sent a film to participate in the competition program can apply to the organizers of the festival to attend the official award ceremony.

The winner of the Grand Prix in each category (the winner in the nomination) is announced at the award ceremony from among the nominees.

The winner in each additional nomination is announced at the award ceremony. Awarding in additional nominations remains at the discretion of the organizers. (The organizers can choose the winners in all or in some categories at their discretion).

The authors of films that have passed the official selection / longlist receive notification and laurels of the official selection by e-mail.

At each stage, authors who have received the opportunity to further participate in the competition (semi-final, final, award nomination) also receive notifications and laurels of the corresponding stage by e-mail.

Finalists (shortlist) are awarded with diplomas of finalists, nominees - diplomas of nominees and memorable prizes at the official award ceremony.

The winners of the Grand Prix in each category are awarded with diplomas and statuettes of the festival at the official award ceremony.

Winners in additional nominations are awarded with diplomas and statuettes of the festival at the official award ceremony.

The list of semi-finalists, finalists, nominees and winners appears on the festival's website after the final results are announced.

At the official award ceremony, finalists, nominees and winners must be represented by at least one representative of the film crew from among the project participants indicated in the credits. Nominees and winners who are not present at the official award ceremony can optionally receive statuettes and commemorative prizes by mail at their own expense.

The winners of the Grand Prix, as well as the winners in additional nominations, in case of absence from the official award ceremony, receive laurels of the winner in the nomination and diplomas of the winners by e-mail.

Awarding of winners, nominees and finalists with valuable gifts and gifts from sponsors, cash and other prizes remains at the discretion of the organizers, and may not be announced in advance.

The organizers independently compile a list of films that will be shown on the day of the festival and reserve the right to change this list and the schedule of screenings at any time, depending on changes in the regulations and other circumstances. The organizers are not obliged to notify the authors of the inclusion of their works in the final list of screenings on the day of the festival.

Terms and Conditions:

Please read all the Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your movie. By submitting your film to the Film Festival, you agree that you are obliged to comply with all the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.

* To participate in the film festival, the applicant must submit an application for participation no later than the date of the final deadline and pay the registration fee set by the organizers.

* Applications can be submitted via the Festhome application form or on the official website of the Film Festival. Also, the applicant can fill out an application downloaded on the official website and after filling it out, send it to the e-mail of the Film Festival.

* Short films from all over the world are accepted.

* Films shot in any language other than english must have english subtitles.

* Any genres and types of short meter are accepted.

* Films with a duration of 3 to 40 minutes, including credits, are accepted.
In films containing sex scenes, violence, Smoking, swearing and other materials not intended for children should have at the beginning marked "18+"

• Submissions to the Contest must not contradict the legislation of the Russian Federation, including the law "On narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances", the law "On mass media" and the law "On advertising".

• To participate in the festival, the screening of the film does not have to be a premiere. Films that have been shown at other festivals are eligible to participate in the film festival. Films that are publicly available on the Internet have the right to participate in the film festival.

* Films whose production date is not earlier than January 01, 2012 are accepted. The release date of the film is the date specified in the application and corresponding to the release date specified in the end credits.

• There are no restrictions on the number of applications from one director. Each application is accompanied by a new participation fee.

* The director's first film, as well as his second film, can be considered a debut, if he was a co-director in his previous work.

* A film declared in the "Debut Film" category can also be separately declared in the "Best Feature Film" category. The application must be accompanied by a new participation fee.

* The organizers of the festival do not accept copies of films in an unfinished form.

• All changes and additions to the films submitted to the film festival after submitting an application are accepted only if they are accompanied by a new participation fee.

* The participants submitting the film to the film festival are fully responsible for ensuring all rights and permissions from the copyright holders related to their application and guarantee that they do not violate the rights of third parties, including copyrights, personal rights and trademark rights, and also release the organizers of the film festival from claims of third parties in connection with the screening and other use of the film during the Festival. The organizers of the festival are not responsible for claims or complaints from individuals and organizations appearing in these works.

* The organizers of the festival reserve the right to refuse the applicant to participate without explanation. The refusal must be accompanied by an appropriate notification to the applicant's email address.

* The organizers of the festival reserve the right to disqualify a film that does not meet the requirements of the festival or move it to another competition category (at the discretion of the organizers).

• All registration fees are non-refundable.

* The jury's decision is final and cannot be challenged.

* The author (applicant), by sending the film to participate in the competition program, grants the organizers of the festival the right to use on a non-commercial basis any footage and excerpts from the film to be shown on the Festival website, in promotional materials, including press releases, festival brochures, etc. and ensures that the festival organizers are authorized to show the film as part of the film festival.

* Festival participants, in addition to the mandatory data and materials specified in the application, can send a trailer of the film, which, according to the decision of the organizers, can be shown on the day of the festival. The trailer cannot participate in the competition program on its own.

* The organizers of the film festival reserve the right to update or change the terms and policy without prior notice.
Technical conditions:

1. Participants must send the organizers of the festival a link to a copy of the film uploaded to the file sharing site in .mp4, .mpeg format. or .mov and the download password, if available. Also, competitive works can be posted on YouTube or Vimeo services in the "Open Access" or "Link Access" mode.

2. Links to the materials must be active and available until the end of the summing up of the Film Festival.

3. Video resolution is preferably 1920*1080 (Full HD, 1080p), but not less than 720*576.

4. Each film must have titles that contain a list of all project participants, as well as the release date of the film.

5. english subtitles can be either sewn into a copy of the film, or sent separately as a link to the same file sharing service or in the form of .srt file.
