GENERAL REGULATIONS


XVII ISLANTILLA CINEFÓRUM

OFFICIAL COMPETITION SECTION




I. INTRODUCTION

The Mancomunidad Intermunicipal of Islantilla (Huelva, Spain) announces the XII edition of Islantilla Cineforum – International Film Festival Under the Moonlight, which will be hold in summer of 2024.


II. CONTESTANS

It may participate in the Official Competition Section producers or directors of any country.


III. CATEGORIES

The works that wish to be in the competition section must fall into one of the two established categories:

- Films (with more than 60 minutes long)
- Short-films (under 60 minutes long)

It will be accepted fiction, documentary or animation works.


IV. WORKS CHARACTERISTICS

The works must be sent in original version (with subtitles in Spanish), on the other hand these will be excluded.

These must be produced after 1st of January, 2023. Each author can participate with only one work.


V. SELECTION PROCESS. APLICATION AND DELIVERY OF COPIES

The producers and directors that will take part in this official announcement can send your work online. Those works that are selected must register at the electronic
headquarters of the Islantilla's Town to compete in the Official Competition Section.

You can send the DVD copies until:: 10th of May, 2024


VI. OFFICIAL JURY

The Official Jury, composed by very important people inside the film world, will assess the works that the selection committee selects as finalists, through some nominations, among the works integrated in the official section, 12 Films and 25 Short Films.

The winners, through different nominations, will be chosen by the Official Jury.

VII.
AUDIENCE AWARD

The audience will give, with his/her vote, the award for the Best Film and the Best Short Film among the works exhibited in the official competition section, 12 Films and 100 Short Films

IX. WRITTEN REFERENCE TO THE PRIZES AWARDED

Feature films or short films awarded with one of the awards of the Festival, will include a written reference of the prize at the beginning of all copies of the same that are distributed for exhibition in commercial theatres and/or other audiovisual competitions, as well as in all information material. This reference will consist of a text with the type of prize awarded, invariably accompanied by the corporate image (logo and name) of the Islantilla Film Festival, which will be provided by the Organization of the same.


X. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS

Submission of any film in Islantilla Film Festival implies the acceptance of these regulations.
