John Balan Fest - Atlantic Films and New Media is a new emerging space that aims to promote the cinema and independent audiovisual creation or at the same time that pays homage to the figure of John Balan, valuing the Marin Town identity and the Parish of Seixo, located in one of the most beautiful corners of Galicia.
Our main objective is to connect the New Galician Cinema to the neighborhood, as well as to seek a connection between local and country creators and creators with other international audiovisual communities. Paying special attention to those who have a strong cultural connection with Galicia in general, and in particular with our town.

By submitting your work to JBF, you acknowledge that you have, understand and agree to follow our rules and regulations for submissions and abide by our terms and conditions of service and our non-festival rules and regulations.
Failure to comply with the guidelines, rules, regulations or requirements of JBF may be grounds for disqualification and cause your work to be removed from the competition.
When submitting under JBF bases, you grant the organization or the right to screen your film or series publicly in the next edition of the JBF subject to the specific conditions stated in the bases of the festival.
When submitting under JBF bases, you acknowledge that you are not entitled to any refund or claim for damages of any kind if your work cannot be projected due to technical or operational difficulties or if the projection of your work must be rescheduled or delayed for any reason.
JBF will not reimburse any tax if the production company or legal representatives of the film or series do not present the work in the correct category. Films sent by means other than those indicated on the specific bases may be considered unfit.
All officially selected films and series with dialogues in a language other than Galician, Spanish or Portuguese MUST include a copy with subtitles in any of these languages.
If you want to register your work as PREMIERE, you MUST notify the festival organization and provide a high-resolution digital file (MOV or MPG4).
When submitting your film under JBF bases, the participants exempt the organization, collaborators, contracted personnel and volunteer personnel, from all responsibility for loss, damage, right, claim and action of derivative type totally or partially, directly or indirectly, from participation No contest or participation in calquera activities related to the contest and the activities of the festival.
When submitting your film under JBF bases, you grant the organization of the festival the rights to use screenshots, press materials and fixed images or short video fragments of the work in our advertisements, press materials, festival programs and website during a minimum of 1 year before and after the date of celebration of the contest.
When sending your application to JBF you acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older.
