The 6th Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival
11–17 September 2014

Introduction

First presented by the Hong Kong City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) in 2004, Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival is the only festival of its kind in Asia, featuring commissioned works, a competition and a selection of acclaimed international productions. The Festival facilitates conversations between two established art forms – video and dance – in China and in Asia, at the same time, it provides a platform for artists and audiences to share their perspectives and explore the unlimited possibilities offered by the union of dance and video through talks and workshops. The Festival spreads the excitement of dance video worldwide through screenings, and enhances cultural exchange through inviting renowned dance video artists to Hong Kong, a gesture made possible by the support of various national and international partners.
