The JurALE Film Festival is a young and dedicated film festival set in the culturally rich rural landscape of the Bavarian Jura. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Tangrintel region, JurALE presents short and feature-length films from a variety of genres over the course of two days – accompanied by discussions, jury and audience awards, and a diverse supporting program.

With a special focus on regional filmmaking and socially relevant perspectives, JurALE offers a platform for new voices and visual storytelling. Filmmakers are invited to attend in person, engage in dialogue with the audience and jury, and experience the unique atmosphere that blends cinema and culture.

JuraPrize (Jury Award)
Awarded by a selected jury composed of prominent actors and regional cultural figures. Recognizes the best short film of the festival.

AudienceSpark (Audience Award)
Chosen by the festival audience through voting. Honors the most emotionally or thematically powerful entry from the viewers’ perspective.

TangrintelTrophy (Regional Special Award)
Celebrates outstanding cinematic works with a connection to the region—whether through theme, filming location, or participating filmmakers.

By submitting a film to the JurALE Film Festival, participants agree to the following terms and conditions:
