L’arco Film Festival is a celebration of independent cinema and emerging visual arts, designed to showcase new voices in the audiovisual landscape. Our inaugural edition will take place in Madrid in September 2025, featuring:

1. Screenings of short films and video art: Selected for their narrative, technical, and visual innovation.

2.Exhibition of experimental photography: A space to explore new artistic perspectives.

3.Workshops and talks: Activities led by industry professionals to inspire and connect attendees.
The festival serves as an inclusive platform for artists and filmmakers challenging conventional storytelling.

Our mission is to create a space where creativity and innovation take center stage, connecting creators with audiences and fostering cultural dialogue.

At L’arco Film Festival, we aim to recognize the talent and creativity of participating artists. Therefore, we will present awards in the following categories:

1. Best Emerging Director
2. Best Student Short Film
3. Best National Short Film
4. Best International Short Film
5. Best Documentary Short Film
6. Best Horror Short Film
7. Best LGBT Short Film
8. Best Animated Short Film
9. Best Music Video
10.Jury Award
11.Audience Choice Award

Winners will receive symbolic prizes and festival diplomas, as well as the opportunity to be featured in our magazine and social media platforms. These awards are not just recognition but a gateway to new opportunities for artists.

LEGAL BASES FOR THE FIRST EDITION OF THE L'ARCO FILM FESTIVAL - [L'AFF].

FIRST: The ‘I Edition of the L'Arco Film Festival’ will be held in Madrid during the month of May 2025.

SECOND.- The objectives of the festival are:

-Promote emerging talent in the field of independent film and visual arts.

-To create an inclusive space that encourages diversity and artistic innovation.

-To offer a professional platform to connect artists with the public and the industry.

THIRD - Requirements for short films:

-Maximum length of 30 minutes.
-Works produced on or after 1 January 2020.
-Accepted projection formats include H.264.

FOURTH.- Registration:

Registration can be made through the Festhome platform.

FIFTH: Minors under the age of 18 may participate with the prior authorisation of their legal guardians, who must complete a consent form provided by the organisation.

SIXTH.- The selection criteria will include:

-Technical and artistic quality.
-Narrative and visual innovation.
-Themes of social and cultural interest.
-Diversity and representation in the work teams.

SEVENTH.- prizes:
prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

Short films:

-Best National Short Film.
-Best International Short Film.
-Best Direction.
-Best Screenplay.
-Best Cinematography.
-Audience Award.
-Jury Prize.
-Best Documentary Short Film
-Best Animated Short Film.
-Best Music Video

The winners will receive a diploma, a laurel, gifts and diffusion through our social networks and associated magazine.

EIGHTH.- Jury:
The jury will be made up of professionals from the sector, selected by the organisation, and their decision will be final.

NINTH.- Screenings and exhibitions:

The screenings of the short films will take place in a professional venue in Madrid. The photographic works will be exhibited throughout the festival.

TENTH.- Transfer of rights:
The participants accept the temporary and free transfer of the exhibition rights of the works exclusively for the framework of the festival and their promotion on social networks.

ELEVENTH: Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these legal conditions.






  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
