The "Le Matié" University Audiovisual Festival is conceived as an academic space to highlight and promote the audiovisual works carried out by students of Social Communication - Journalism of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and other academic institutions at a national and international level, conducive to sharing experiences of classroom, encourage originality and enhance the technical and conceptual quality of audiovisual products, thus encouraging the exploration of new ways of telling stories from real life or the product of the students' imagination, as well as news, reports and other narratives through of the audiovisual.

The non-competitive approach of the festival promotes an environment of collaboration and openness, where creativity and the diversity of approaches in the audiovisual are celebrated and shared.

From each of the sections, an outstanding product will be selected in the UPB and External categories, which will be recognized by an honorable mention, for its quality, originality, and technical and conceptual excellence.

It is a non-competitive festival, lasting three days and with two main components: Academic and Exhibition.

The academic component focuses on holding talks, workshops or master classes led by prominent guests with vast professional experience and recognition in the audiovisual area. These activities offer attendees the opportunity to learn new knowledge, techniques and creative approaches, thus awakening their interest in exploring and perfecting the use of the audiovisual medium as a powerful tool for expression and communication. The quality of the teachings imparted seeks to enhance the academic and artistic training of the participants, contributing to their growth as future creators and professionals in the audiovisual field.

Regarding the Exhibition component, the festival provides a space for the projection of audiovisual works, as a window for emerging creators to present their work to the public and receive feedback, thus favoring the exchange of ideas and the visibility of their works. productions.

Exhibition Sections:

1. Fiction Short Film: In this section, they will be able to develop short films that tell fictional stories, allowing them to explore their narrative capacity and technical skills to create a captivating visual experience.

2. Documentary Short Film: Here you will have the opportunity to present short films that address real life issues from a documentary perspective. The works in this category must reflect a truthful and thoughtful approach to relevant situations or aspects of our society.

3. Audiovisual Journalistic Product: If you are interested in journalism and informative communication, this section offers you the possibility of creating audiovisual pieces that address news, reports or chronicles with depth and journalistic precision.

4. Video Creation: In this broad category you can explore different forms of audiovisual expression. From Video Art, where aesthetics and concept are essential, to Music Videos that blend music and cinema to convey emotions. Also, parodies of music videos, movie trailers and video memes that reflect their creativity and sense of humor are allowed.
