Marengo Fest. Vigo International Film Festival is not just a film competition, it is a cultural and social event whose main objective is to promote film culture, giving the opportunity at a national and international level to show their projects, providing prizes worth €30,000 in its different categories

Best INSERT short created by people with intellectual disabilities or mental illness...€2,000 + trophy

1.- Only short films whose production date is from January 1, 2022 will be admitted.

2.- Short films whose duration does not exceed 30 minutes, including the film credits.

3.- Short films of national and international production will be admitted in any language or dialect. In the case of a version other than Spanish (Castilian), it must have subtitles in Spanish.

4.- Short films must be shot on celluloid (35 mm or 16 mm formats) or on video in high definition or higher resolution. The selected short films will be presented in a file with a .mov extension.

5.- All producers or filmmakers who own the rights to the works they present may participate. The festival is exempt from any liability that may arise from the violation of this basis and from the claim for payment of copyright for public communication or other intellectual property rights.

6.-You may submit any number of short films you wish. The theme and genre will be free. Each short film submitted to the competition must be sent on an independent medium and with its own registration form.

7.-The selection of all the short films received to participate in the festival will be carried out by a selection committee made up of professionals from the medium and members of the MARENGO FEST organizing team.

8.- The selection of the short films or documentaries selected for the competition will be notified from February 14 to March 14, 2025. Publishing the list of those selected at www.margengofest.com

9.- The MARENGO FEST organization team will contact those selected to provide photographs, posters and advertising material for the short film, and the participants must authorize the organization to use frames, photographs and extracts from the short films for their use. dissemination in any communication and promotional medium, in order to promote and disseminate this Festival. The documentation and material sent for the selected works may appear in all advertising and promotional media for the Festival.

10.- Festival awards. MARENGO FEST delivers the quantities described below according to the different categories. The amount of these prizes includes the corresponding VAT. Payment of the prizes will be made by bank transfer and upon presentation of an invoice. Prizes can be accumulated.

11.- If, once the short film(s)/documentaries have been submitted, an invoice is required for the amount of the admission fees, said invoice will be for the amount of the fee, taxes included.

12.- Participation in MARENGO FEST implies acceptance of all sections of these rules, as well as the resolution by the organization of any problem not included in these.
