Muestra Intergaláctica International Film Festival is a space where people can present their film projects of all kinds of genre.

It started as a small local show. Due to the response of the people and thanks to the support of sponsors, it has become an event with local, national and international projects.

The attendance to festival has increased edition after edition, initially with a unique function, however, since the edition of the year 2017, additional dates have been added, having a week long festival with local, national and international short and feature films.

We hope in this edition to receive more productions from around the world, and of course a greater response from the public and satisfaction, as well as sharing the work of the filmmakers.

BASES FOR SHORT FILMS - YOUNG ALIEN*, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL

1. The preferred maximum duration of 25 minutes.

2. Full HD resolution (1080p), 2k, 4k free format (preferably .mp4 or .mov).

3. Synopsis: Maximum 200 characters and technical specifications of the short film

4. Contact information: Name and email

5. Works completed from January 2023 will be received.

6. Only fiction, documentary and animated short films are accepted.

7. If selected and the language is different from Spanish, a subtitled version will be required. If the subtitled version or the material required to make the subtitling is not sent, the short film will be disqualified.

*YOUNG ALIEN Category is only for student projects made in México

GENERAL FOR SHORT FILMS

• The reception will take place from June 1st, 2026, until October 4th, 2026; The selected productions will be announced in January 2027.

• The screenings of the short films will only be on the stipulated dates of the event. Its personal use and distribution will depend on each author.

• The filmmakers are solely responsible for their works, and everything included in them, the festival declines all legal responsibility for its content.


OFFICIAL SELECTION SHORT FILMS

• The selection of the previously registered short films will be in charge of the Intergalactic Council, its decision will be final.

• Official Selection XIV: The event will take place in March 2027, in movie theaters in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.


BASES FOR FEATURE FILMS - NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL

1. The preferred maximum duration of 120 minutes.

2. Full HD resolution (1080p), 2k or 4K, free format (preferably .mp4 or .mov).

3. Synopsis: Maximum 200 characters and technical specifications of the film

4. Contact information: Name and email

5. Works completed from January 2023 will be received.

6. Only fiction, documentary and animated feature films are accepted.

7. If selected and the language is different from Spanish, a subtitled version will be required, as well as its DCP for screening. If the required material is not sent, the feature film will be disqualified.
