The most progressive and dynamic film festival in the world. We connect filmmakers with REAL DISTRIBUTION and MONETIZATION opportunities, helping them meet key players in the American film industry. Whether you're an emerging voice or an established storyteller, MVFF is a launchpad for the next big step. We welcome projects across a wide range of genres—from drama, comedy, and action to documentaries, animation, and experimental formats.

For over 12 years, we've been a vibrant hub for local communities, tourists, and students, celebrating creative voices from every background. In 2025 (actual fest is in 2026), we're proud to open our doors to a global audience through Festhome—bringing international creators to the heart of Miami. But this is more than just a showcase.

One of our strongest focuses lies on vertical series, feature films, and episodic drama.

In these categories, we offer exclusive awards and dedicated recognition, because we believe the vertical frame is more than a trend—it's the cinematic language of the new generation. Join us in Miami, where bold stories rise vertically and careers take flight.

Prix en espèces: 1,000$

We award real cash prizes — winners in key categories receive $1,000 each, along with our custom-designed Award Trophy, engraved with their name and presented live in Miami or shipped anywhere in the world.

All really good projects, even the ones who were not selected, also those who received nomination (official selection) and winning entries receive official festival laurels and may be promoted directly to our partner distributors. With the creator’s permission, select films will also be monetized and featured on streaming platforms such as StoryLoop, RealShort, and PlayLet, where global audiences can discover, vote for, and engage with your work.

Vertical content is our spotlight — including series, pilots, and shorts — with dedicated categories celebrating the future of storytelling. Additionally, winners are invited to attend the Miami Beach Film Festival, with accommodation provided by the festival.

Creators with verified copyright ownership and content adapted to technical requirements are eligible for a transparent 50/50 distribution model through our partner platforms — ensuring both visibility and revenue for your work. A Viewer’s Choice Award is presented in each category, honoring audience favorites and giving your project an even greater chance to shine.

MOST IMPORTANT: Even if your film doesn't win in the category you submitted to — it can still receive awards in other categories!

All submitted films are reviewed in full by our professional jury, and outstanding directing, acting, cinematography, editing, choreography, or other standout elements may be recognized with individual awards (for example: a drama can win Best Actress and Best Dance. A short horror film can earn a Best Director and Best Horror nominations). Help us discover your film’s strengths by sending the notes to filmsinstadive@gmail.com — but don’t be surprised if you receive a completely unexpected award. That’s part of the magic.

GENERAL FORMAT REQUIREMENTS

- Horizontal Submissions: Must be delivered in standard widescreen format (16:9), HD or 4K resolution. All widescreen variations are also accepted.

- Vertical Submissions: Must be in 9:16 aspect ratio (portrait mode), HD or 4K resolution.

- Non-English Projects: Must include English subtitles. All Genres & Languages: Accepted. - Premiere status is not required.

- Feature Films: 52 minutes or longer
