1 Minute at the Diversity Festival – L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is a mobile short film festival organised within the framework of the Festa de la Diversitat de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The festival invites participants to create short films of up to one minute using mobile phones or tablets. The aim is to promote audiovisual creation around diversity, intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, respect and coexistence.

The 2026 edition encourages participants to reflect creatively on diversity as an opportunity to build bridges between people, cultures and communities.

The festival is open to individuals and groups. If minors take part in the filming, a legal adult representative must be responsible for the registration and for obtaining the necessary authorisations.

Selected short films may be screened as part of the activities linked to the Festa de la Diversitat.

The jury may grant official selections, mentions or recognitions to the selected short films.

RULES – 1 MINUTE AT THE DIVERSITY FESTIVAL – L’HOSPITALET DE LLOBREGAT 2026

0. AIM

1 Minute at the Diversity Festival – L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is a mobile short film festival organised within the framework of the Festa de la Diversitat de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The main aim of the festival is to encourage the creation of one-minute short films that reflect on diversity and on how diversity can become an opportunity to build bridges, promote dialogue, mutual understanding and collective and individual enrichment.

1. PARTICIPANTS

1.1. Any person may participate, either individually or as part of a group.

1.2. Each submission must designate an adult representative, who will be responsible for the registration and for all legal aspects arising from participation.

1.3. If minors take part in the filming, an adult legal representative must be designated. This person must have the required legal authorisations from parents or legal guardians and must comply with current regulations.

1.4. Participation is free of charge.

2. TECHNICAL AND THEMATIC REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Only short films with a social theme will be accepted. The works must address diversity in a respectful and positive way.

2.2. Works containing offensive, violent or discriminatory content, compromised images, hate speech or messages promoting intolerance will not be accepted.

2.3. Maximum duration: 60 seconds, plus up to 10 additional seconds for final credits.

2.4. The short films must be recorded only with mobile phones or tablets.

2.5. Editing must be carried out using mobile applications such as CapCut, FilmoraGo, VivaVideo, InShot, KineMaster, Splice or similar mobile editing tools.

2.6. The final file must be submitted in .mov or .mp4 format, H264 codec, minimum Full HD 1920x1080, 24 fps, stereo sound and AAC 48kHz audio.

2.7. The film may be submitted in any official language of Spain. If the film is not in Catalan or Spanish, subtitles in one of these two languages must be included.

3. REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION

3.1. Registration is free.

3.2. The short film must be sent by Festhome.com



4. SELECTION AND SCREENING

4.1. The jury will select the finalist short films according to creativity, originality, technical quality and suitability to the theme.

4.2. The selected short films may be screened during the activities linked to the Festa de la Diversitat de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

5. JURY AND RIGHTS

5.1. The jury will be composed of professionals from the audiovisual sector and representatives of social and cultural organisations.

5.2. Participants grant CohesionART, free of charge and without commercial purpose, the rights to reproduce, publicly communicate and disseminate the selected works for promotional, educational, cultural and social awareness purposes related to the festival.

5.3. This authorisation will remain valid until the next edition of the festival and may be extended unless the participant notifies CohesionART in writing of its withdrawal.

6. SELECTIONS AND RECOGNITIONS

6.1. At this stage, the festival does not offer cash prizes or material prizes.

6.2. The festival may grant official selections, mentions or recognitions to the works selected by the jury.

6.3. The possible recognitions are:

- Best Short Film Recognition
- Best Screenplay Recognition
- Best Direction Recognition
- Audience Recognition

7. ACCEPTANCE AND DATA PROTECTION

7.1. Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules.

7.2. The personal data collected will be processed in accordance with current data protection regulations.

8. CONTINGENCIES

Any situation not provided for in these rules will be resolved by the jury according to criteria of fairness, equity and respect for the values of the festival.

9. LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY

9.1. The registered person is fully responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for obtaining all legal permissions required for participation, including image rights, copyright and authorisations for minors where applicable.

9.2. The organising entities are excluded from any legal responsibility arising from the participation of the submitted works.
