Bases of participation 2023

The call is open from April 2 to June 30, 2023.
All those interested in the genre of Suspense, Horror and Sci-Fi may participate without restriction of age or professional career.

In this fourteenth edition we are
Short films produced or co-produced in Mexico will compete for the "Juan Mora Catlett" award in honor of the director.

Each team or participant may present an unlimited number of works.

Winners

Sustefest will inform those selected of the date and place of the award

Sustefest will announce the winners via social networks and via email and at the closing
of the festival.

The short films will be divided into 5 categories

• Spanish selection
• International Selection
• Mexican National Team (Juan Mora Cattlet Award)
• Selection Animation
• Sci-FI Selection

Requirements for selection:

The short films will have a minimum duration of 00:60 sec and a maximum of 30:00 min if it is exceeded

The time will be left to the consideration of the qualifying jury.

If the short film is in a language other than Spanish, it must be subtitled. (mandatory to participate)

The short films that are delivered to the festival organization will form part of the Sustefest collection.

The winners will be announced in various film shows, festivals and festival events, these projections will be to publicize the festival and show the winning works.

Inscription

Each production must be presented with the following material:

a) Poster of the short film
b) Photograph of the director
c) 2 Stills from the short film
d) Advertising material (if and only if you have it)
e) Email
f) subtitles in Spanish if it is in another language

* It is very important to send everything requested, since if selected they will be necessary
for the festival dossier and publicity.

Sustefest will agree on the date and order of exhibition of the shorts.

Sustefest undertakes to publicize those selected on social networks and via email.

Sestefest reserves the right to project the selection of minutes of Terror in exhibitions
later.

Screening of selected short films from November 11 to 12 as part of the official SUSTEFEST programming.

Acceptance of the bases:

The Organization will resolve any doubts that may arise, being its decision and guidelines
unappealable.

The sending of works implies the full acceptance of the participation bases.

The festival may make use of all the works received or a selection of them.
