MUESTRA INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DOCUMENTAL ZAFRA ()

The first edition of the Zafra’s documentary film exhibition will be held between the 9th and the 12th of July of 2020. This exhibition is devoted to showcasing international and independent documentary film, concerning social issues.

Regulations;

1. Topics: All types of content will be accepted as long as it falls within the documentary genre. We will not accept films whose content is an apology for racism, sexism, xenophobia or any type of violence.

2. Participation: People from all nationalities are allowed to participate. Documentaries filmed in a language other than Spanish must include subtitles in this language. Every director is allowed to present up to two short-films, recorded after the 1st of January of 2018.

3. Conditions:

•The length of the short films is limited to 15 minutes
• All recording formats are allowed; however, the short films should be presented in AVI, MP4 or MOV
•The short films should have a resolution good enough to be shown in the festival, otherwise the contributions could be rejected by the organizing committee.

4.Rights payment: The organizing committee will pay the producers/distributors an exhibition fee of 50€ (taxes included) for each short film shown in the exhibition. This fee includes the right of showing the short film in the schedule decided by the organizing committee, and also the right to use the material to publicize the exhibition in all the platforms decided by the organizing committee.

5. No- competition: This festival is not intended as a competition and therefore there will be no awards granted to short films shown as part of the exhibition.


6. Submission guidelines
Each short film should include the following information :

•Shortfilm data: Title, abstract, genre, duration, language, recording format, year and place.

•Fact sheet:
Names and positions of the technical and artistic staff.

•Director’s personal information: Name, address, phone, e-mail and copy of the passport/ID. *other information such as photograms of the short-film, a picture of the director, subtitles or posters.

7.deadline: The submission deadline is the 1st of June 2020. A selection committee designed by the organizing committee of the “MICDZ” will decide which short-films will be shown in the I Zafra’s Documentary Film Exhibition. The decision taken by the selection committee is not subject to appeal.
