After five years of a successful run as the New York City International Film Festival and after many of our films got distribution, we decided to create NYCIFF-St. Lucia edition. We want to open another door for filmmakers from around the world, and establish St. Lucia as a center for the film industry, while highlighting unknown talents from the Caribbean.
World Narrative Features Open to works from all regions. New York City International Film Festival has a well-earned reputation, nationally and internationally, as one of the most respected events of the film festival year. The organization is committed to bringing the best of the world’s cinematography to New York City and to provide a platform for talented domestic and international filmmakers to showcase their work.
NYCIFF now in it’s six year and with the addition of the NYCIFF Foundation, Inc. a Non-For-Profit Organization has created the Saint Lucia film festival - NYCIFF-St Lucia- to open the door to all the filmmakers from St Lucia and countries around. St Lucia's location makes a perfect place to establish a center for the film industry where people from all over the world can attend without Visa requirements and promote their films in a safe, beautiful and sophisticated island where culture is their pride.
NYCIFF-St Lucia Film Festival with the support of NYCIFF-Foundation
Will provide opportunities to new and established filmmakers, Directors and performers in the performing arts and music industry from St Lucia, and around the world, by granting scholarships to students in pursuit of a career in the arts. Securing theaters and other venues for artists, filmmakers to show their films/display their art, hosting street fairs to promote networking and arranging for various forms of promotional advertising in print, radio, TV and social media to expand awareness.
The best films from St Lucia and the world will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival MARCHE DU FILM showcasing the best Feature narrative, Documentaries, Animated films and short films, TV Show Pilots, Musicals
We will have special guests to talk about Co-production with St Lucia, including:

• Industry Talks
• Directors, Producers, Filmmakers will join us to showcase the best of St Lucia

Since submission of a film constitutes acceptance of these Entry Rules & Regulations (by filmmakers and their agents), please review this document carefully.
1- ALL SHORT FILMS MUST BE A ST. LUCIA PREMIERE
2- ALL FEATURE FILMS MUST BE A ST. LUCIA PREMIERE
**ENTRY FEES ARE IN US DOLLARS AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
NOTIFICATION DATE: Filmmaker will be notified by email or phone approximately November 30, 2014 NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE FILMS: MUST have English subtitles
ENTRY MATERIALS: 1) Entry form online along with payment 2) 1 DVD of the film, formatted for Zone 1 (North America) labeled with the work's Title, Running Time, Director(s) name(s)
* Please do not put adhesive labels on the disc unless it is a professional output job (Use a permanent marker to write the information on the disc).
** ENTRY MATERIAL WILL NOT BE RETURNED **

MULTIPLE ENTRIES: A separate DVD must accompany by its own entry form and each entered work
IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED: You must fulfill the following requirements by the date(s) designated by the Festival upon invitation:
(1) You will be required to execute a release and agreement wherein you (I) accept responsibility for obtaining any and all clearances necessary to exhibit your film at the New York City International Film Festival St. Lucia, warrant that you have the rights necessary to exhibit your film at New York City International Film Festival St Lucia, indemnify and hold harmless New York City International Film Festival, LLC at its affiliates against any claim arising out of exhibition of your film at New York City International Film Festival St. Lucia.
(2) You will be responsible for delivery of the exhibition copy of the invited work in one of the Exhibition Formats specified below to the address designated by the Festival. THE FESTIVAL WILL NOT COVER the cost of the return shipping of your print or video after the conclusion of the Festival. We recommend shipment via courier in order to permit the tracking of your entry once it leaves your hands and our film festival.

DIGITAL PROJECTION CINEMA: Dolby DSS200 Digital Cinema Projection (DCP), Dig beta, Beta SP, BLU-RAY, HD DV, DVcam, MiniDV, DVD, Personal Computer (Mac & PC)
SOUND CAPABILITIES: Film: Dolby SRD, Dolby SR, Dolby A Video Dolby E, Dolby 5.1, Dolby SR, Prologic, Left & Right Stereo Shorts
*Additional RENTAL Equipment upon request, including: HD Cam, HD Cam SR, D5.
SHORTS ONLY in BLU-RAY.
Films in competition will be required to provide a second exhibition copy to accommodate juror screenings.
The Festival has the right to request additional exhibition copies to allow for multiple screenings at more than one venue with no Marks or logos in the film such as: ” Only for Screening Purposes”
(3) You will provide a properly completed and signed official New York City International Film Festival St. Lucia “Film Information Form” including all press and publication assets as specified in the “Materials Checklist”
(4) You will provide at least one DVD copy of the finalized and completed film for Festival Archive.
(5) ONCE A FILM HAS BEEN SELECTED IT CANNOT BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE FESTIVAL program during the event. If your film was accepted to be shown in New York City International Film Festival St. Lucia 2015, you and/or your production company, distributors etc. won’t be allowed to withdraw the selected film from our film festival. In the event of an exception, you will be responsible to reimburse all the cost New York City International Film Festival St. Lucia have incurred in promoting the film, advertising, programs, etc. and any damage to our reputation as a film festival.
(6) The Festival reserves the right to change the date and venue if a feature film has not sell enough tickets to promote such film.
Any legal dispute will be held in New York City Court.
FESTIVAL SCHEDULE: Films invited to participate in the NEW YORK CITY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ST LUCIA, will be shown in the section that our Festival programmers determine will be most appropriate at their sole discretion.

Unless otherwise agreed to by Festival programmers in writing, awards will be given to the winning film director (as identified in the Film Information Form).
Award eligibility is subject to any restrictions or conditions imposed by applicable laws and regulations (international, federal, state or otherwise), and the award recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes, customs, tariffs, insurance and similar charges or costs (if any).
2015 Awards listed in the above Festival sections are subject to change.
The mission of the NEW YORK CITY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ST LUCIA (NYCIFF-STLUCIA) is to help new talented filmmakers to reach the best possible audience for their work. LOGO: USE OF OUR LOGO Our logo was created by Roberto Rizzo, a Copyright and a Trade Mark, represents our Identity. The use of our logo without our written authorization is Illegal and will be prosecuted in the court of law. We ask Filmmakers and other Film Festivals to respect our property and rights, to not use our Logo in any form or color.
DISQUALIFICATION: If your film has been shown on the Internet, YouTube, Amazon, or any other site, it will be disqualified. If your film has been pirated, even through no fault of your own, it will be disqualified. Any submission fees or other expenses will not be returned.
PROMOTION/ADVERTISING/MARKETING/PRESS With the festival being the largest in New York City, the marketing and advertising is directed towards the festival as a whole. NYCIFF works hard to promote and attract people towards ALL events during the week of the festival.
Our website will display the following of each accepted film (provided by the filmmakers): - Title - Director - Short Synopsis - Poster - Trailer - Screening: Date/Time/Place
The following are suggestions for all filmmakers with accepted films to promote:
CONTACT: Reach out to consulates, embassies, and organizations that may be interested in your film, also interact with film schools and student filmmakers who would like to attend. Create press releases about your film and screening (date, time, and place) to be distributed among media contacts. Think outside the box and contact those who you know would be interesting in the message you reveal through your film.
POSTCARDS & FLYERS: Marketing materials such as postcards and flyers can be sent to our office and we will take care of their distribution throughout New York City. Specifications: THE NYCIFF -ST LUCIA LOGO (NYCIFF-ST LUCIA will provide), DATE, TIME, AND PLACE OF YOUR SCREENING, any marketing material that does not fulfill these specifications will be discarded.
POSTER: A printed poster is encouraged; posters are hung at the theater on the day of the screening. We recommend using a US company online and send it directly to NYCIFF office. Specifications: size 3’x4’ and THE NYCIFF-ST LUCIA LOGO (NYCIFF will provide), any poster that do not fulfill these specifications will be discarded.
- To retrieve a poster after the film festival, it can be picked up at the office or shipped AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE.
TICKETS:
FEATURE FILM: ALL filmmakers will receive 2 tickets to EVERY screening and EVERY event (including Opening Gala and Closing Ceremony) unless it is sold out. ALL filmmakers will receive 20 tickets to their own screening, as follows; 5 tickets for cast, crew, and personal guests and 15 tickets for industry contacts, press, media, consulate & embassy guests, etc.
SHORT FILM: ALL filmmakers will receive 2 tickets to EVERY screening and EVERY event (including Opening Gala and Closing Ceremony) unless it is sold out. ALL filmmakers will receive 10 tickets to their own screening, as follows; 4 tickets for cast crew and personal guests and 6 tickets for industry contacts, press, media, consulate & embassy guests, etc.
