The International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo, after a successful first edition held in a hybrid format (online and in-person), returns in 2025 to Madrid, aiming to establish itself as a must-attend event for enthusiasts of horror, fantasy, and science fiction.

Exclusive screenings of feature films and short films competing internationally for the prestigious Noctámbulo Award.

International competitions, recognizing excellence in categories such as Direction, Screenplay, and Short Film, promoting visibility for emerging and established creators alike.

Networking spaces, designed to facilitate connections between directors, producers, and distributors, fostering collaborations and deals to promote new projects.

Talks and panels with key figures of the genre, alongside a special section dedicated to B-movies, paying homage to this iconic style within the fantastic genre.

International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo – Madrid Edition


Welcome to all fans of fantastic cinema. In 2025, Madrid, Spain, will host the Second International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo, showcasing the best in horror, fantasy, and science fiction cinema.

Submissions are now open for the selection of feature films and short films. We invite filmmakers, producers, directors, and production companies to submit their films and become part of an exceptional celebration of fantastic cinema.

The International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo announces its call for Spanish and international films, both short and feature-length, encompassing the fantastic genre: horror, fantasy, science fiction, and related subgenres. Films included in the Official Selection will be organized into various sections at the discretion of the committee.

Call for Entries
The International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo invites filmmakers, producers, directors, and studios worldwide to participate in its 2025 edition. This call is open to feature films and short films in the fantastic, horror, science fiction genres, and their related subgenres, across both national and international categories.

Prizes and Recognition

Cash prizes will be distributed among all official categories for both short and feature films, according to the allocation established by the festival.

In addition to cash prizes, trophies and recognition diplomas will be awarded.

Prizes are personal and non-transferable.

Submission Requirements

Short Films
Production Date: From 2023 onwards.
Maximum Duration: 30 minutes.
Subtitles: Required in Spanish and English, provided as separate SRT files.

Feature Films
Production Date: From 2023 onwards.
Duration: Between 31 and 120 minutes.
Subtitles: Required in Spanish and English, provided as separate SRT files.

Submission Platform

All submissions must be made exclusively through:FESTHOME

General Conditions

Selected films must provide promotional materials (photos, posters, trailers, etc.) in digital format.

Participation implies authorization for the festival to use excerpts from the film (up to 3 minutes) for promotional purposes.

The festival does not cover travel, accommodation, or per diem expenses for film representatives.

Submission and selection imply full acceptance of these rules.

Legal Responsibilities

The entrant will be solely responsible for their short or feature film regarding copyright and/or civil, criminal, or any other type of liability derived from its content.

Acceptance of Rules and Unforeseen Circumstances

Participation in the International Fantastic Film Festival Noctámbulo implies full acceptance of these rules and any potential annexes.
Any unforeseen circumstances not covered by these rules will be resolved by the festival organizers.

In case of disputes, the decision of the organizers will prevail.

Special Regulations for Force Majeure

If the festival cannot take place in person due to force majeure, the submission fee paid via the platform will not be refunded, as these fees are used to cover selection processes.
