One World Romania International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival (11)

The 11th edition of the One World Romania International Human Rights & Documentary Festival will take place between March 16 and March 25, 2018 in Bucharest. One World Romania is the first documentary film festival established in Bucharest as well as the only Romanian festival dedicated to human rights.

We invite you to submit your latest documentaries on any topic related to human rights. Short, medium, feature length as well as interactive documentaries, with any target audience, including children and adolescents, are accepted.

By its nature, OWR is a non competitive festival. When evaluating films, the selection committee concentrates equally on the human rights take of the documentary, as well as its artistic quality.

The festival awards a prize to the best film according to a high school students' jury. 10 films from the selection will be included in this competition.

The films must have been completed after January 2016 and must be subtitled in English.

Submission deadline: 15th of November, 2017.

We wish to screen part of the selected films within special events organised throughout the year (educational screenings, film caravan, reruns etc.), but only with the consent of the producer/distributor.
