Orange Shorts Festival is an international short film festival that seeks to connect filmmakers from all over the world and choose the most outstanding in each category thanks to the evaluation of specialists and the general public.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1) Short films under 20 minutes from anywhere in the world will be accepted. Its original language can be Spanish, and if it is not, it must be subtitled in Spanish (subtitles incorporated or in SRT). The theme, genre and technique is free. The deadline for delivery is until October 23, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Contestants may send as many works as they wish, regardless of the date of completion, as long as they have not participated in previous editions of the festival.

2) The works must be sent through the FESTHOME platform. In the TECHNICAL SHEET you must include the names of the filmmakers, place of production/shooting, the cast, synopsis and telephone number or contact email. In addition, it is requested to attach a COVER image (JPEG, PNG, TIFF or PDF format). Short films will not be accepted by email or other means.

3) The following categories will be awarded (first and second place):
a) Best Short Film
b) Best Director
c) Best Screenplay
d) Best Direction of Photography
e) Best Actor
f) Best Actress
g) Best Junior Actor/Actress (from 0 to 12 years old)
h) Best Animated Short
i) Best Soundtrack
j) Best Dramatic Short
k) Best Horror Short
i) Special Mentions
These categories will also have their winners from the province of San Luis. Eg Best short film in San Luis, Best director in San Luis, etc.

4) There will be a single prize, indivisible, for whoever obtains the highest total score, which will be considered the MERJO SHORT FILM. The prize will be 300 USD.

5) The decision of the jury will be final, the categories can be considered deserted by the jury if they consider that no short film meets the expectations of said category, except for Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay.

6) There will be a pre-selection of works. All works selected for the festival will receive the OFFICIAL SELECTION award.

7) The authors will retain their copyright and exploitation of the works. The short films presented will be screened in front of the jury for evaluation, and later in a public event to present the winners (date to be confirmed). Up to 30% of the short film may or may not be used to promote the festival. When participating in the festival, you may be asked for an informal video or video call in order to connect with the jury or the public, interviews for the press or some additional information.

8) The participation of the short film in the Orange Shorts Festival 2022 implies the acceptance of these bases and conditions, and the organization assumes that the presenters of the short films have the rights to their submitted works. The acceptance of the bases exempts the organization from any legal responsibility.

9) The jury's decision will be public in December 2022, and each winner must be duly notified about the award.
