ORION International Film Festival is a curated international cinema event presenting narrative, documentary, experimental and emerging media works from filmmakers around the world. The festival focuses on strong visual storytelling, distinctive voices and films that explore culture, society, environment and the human condition.

The festival is committed to presenting thoughtful and engaging cinema through a carefully programmed screening event designed for attentive audiences. ORION IFF values originality, cinematic craft and meaningful storytelling across a wide range of forms and perspectives.

Selected films are presented within a curated programme that celebrates both emerging and established filmmakers. The festival brings together works that demonstrate artistic vision, cultural insight and a commitment to cinematic expression.

The festival welcomes submissions across narrative, documentary, ethnographic, animation, experimental and new media forms, with categories recognising both film achievement and film craft.

Screening Event – 2026
The first screening event for the 2026 edition of ORION International Film Festival will present a curated programme of creatively fearless short films.

Officially selected and award-recognised films may also be considered for inclusion in curated live screening events.

RULES & TERMS

Films must have been completed between 2024 and 2026.

All non-English language films must include English language subtitles.

Submissions must be uploaded and completed by the applicable deadline in order to qualify for the corresponding entry fees.

Films must be available for download via platforms such as Festhome. Submitters are required to provide a download link and grant permission for their film to be screened at ORION IFF live screening events.
Short excerpts or trailers from submitted films may be used for promotional purposes on the ORION IFF website and associated platforms. Only partial excerpts will be used.

Films are selected by festival programmers for the ORION International Film Festival. Officially selected filmmakers will be notified via email. Jury deliberations are confidential, and all decisions are final.

DIGITAL PRESS KIT REQUIREMENTS

If selected, filmmakers are asked to provide the following materials:

Three publicity stills
Film poster (1400 × 2100 pixels, 72 dpi)
Full production credits
Director biography
Film synopsis (maximum 130 words)
Film trailer (up to 30 seconds, if available)








  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
