Out! Mostra de Cinema LGTBIQ+ of Balearic Islands accepts short films of all nationalities with LGBTIQ themes, which may be selected for the various sections of the festival: Short Films, and Short Films Documentaries. The works must not have previously premiered on the Internet or any other media in Spanish territory prior to the festival, and must have been copyrighted no earlier than 1st of January of 2022. All films must be yet unreleased in the Balearic Islands; in the case of the shorts films, this will not be considered a prerequisite, but will be considered positively. The organization reserves the right to include films that do not meet these conditions in the program, although not a part of the Festival’s official contest. The organization has right to include selected short film in future events of year 2025/2026 within territory of Balearic Islands.

The films may be screened in future extensions that may be eligible for other Awards that will be reported later, always informing the director of the short film or the contact person provided to the organization. (Awards in our extensions or from our sponsors).
APPLICATION
Films may be submitted before 15th of February of 2025, included, through the Festhome platform.

3 photograms where the title is not shown

In the Fiction Short Film the maximum duration allowed will be 20 minutes.
In the Documentary Short Film category, the maximum duration allowed will be 30 minutes.
The short films registered, not screened in previous editions and that meet the requirements, may contact the organization of Mostra Out! through info@mostraout.es if they wish to apply to this new call.

The format required for this subscription is: .MP4 (h264)
Short films in a language different from Spanish or Catalan must be accompanied by Spanish subtitles.
Short films in Spanish or Catalan must be accompanied by english subtitles.
NOTIFICATION
Notification will be sent before 25th April 2025 by email to the address indicated on the application form. If you have any questions you may write to us to confirm the status of your work by info@mostraout.es
In case of submitting any material and not having a response to the organization if the film is selected, the festival will proceed to its screening understanding the submission as a will of participation.
PROMOTION
Promotional extracts (up to 2 minutes) of the programmed titles may be made and used for theatres, Internet, television or other promotional formats.
The material provided by the director may be used for promotional purposes or for the festival catalogue.
Mostra Out!. The organization must be informed in writing of any restrictions in regard to materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Mostra Out! assumes no liability for damage or loss of material during transportation. If damages occur during the festival.
PRESENTATION OF A FILM IN ANY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED FORMATS IMPLIES ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES OF MOSTRA OUT!, AND DECISIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION IN CONTINGENCY WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
