The Pichikeche Children's Film Festival was born in 2015 in the commune of Lanco in order to contribute to the generation of spaces to disseminate audiovisual language in children of the south of Chile. During the process of consolidation of this Festival, our networks and territories interested in becoming part of this initiative have expanded, today in its fifth version we have the joy of being able to cover two regional territories, the Los Ríos Region and the Region of Araucanía, with headquarters in the communes of Lanco and Lautaro, respectively, between October 28 and 31, 2019.

AWARDS

1.Competition Children's Short Film “Made by Boys and Girls”:

The Pichikeche Festival will award the “Voting from the Public” award to the winning team and will receive 3 seats for the next Pichikeche Film Camp. In the event that the winning short film is from abroad or outside the Rios region, the festival undertakes to finance the accommodation and food of the children who will participate in the camp.

CATEGORIES

1.Competition Children's Short Film “Made by Boys and Girls”:
Animation, fiction and documentary short films, as long as they have been made by children under 18 years old.

2.Competition Children's short film “Made for Children”
Professional films for animation, fiction or documentary. The works must be aimed at an audience between 5 to 12 years.

TERMS

1.- Short films of any genre for school audiences.

2.- Duration of 1 to 10 minutes.

3.-Registration is free and is open from August 6 to September 30, 2019. Through the FESTHOME.COM platform and on our website www.pichikeche.com.

4.- All audiovisual works must come in their original Spanish version, dubbed or subtitled in Spanish.

5.- Works that have participated in previous versions of our festival cannot participate.

6.- When applying in our call, the applicant claims to have the intellectual property rights of the work presented. The festival is not responsible for third-party legal actions.

7.- The festival reserves the rights to exhibit the works in itineraries and samples of children and youth films made by our organization between 2019 and 2020.

FORMAT

In case of being selected, production will need the film in a high quality file .mov 1920 x 1080, which must be sent by the platform www.festhome.com or to the mail produccion@pichikeche.com. We will also request a technical sheet of the film and 3 jpeg photographs of the film or the process.
