The Pichikeche Children's Film Festival in 2015 in the Lanco commune with the purpose of contributing to the generation of spaces to spread the audiovisual language in children of the region of Ríos, Chile. During the consolidation process of this Festival, there has been expanding into other networks and territories interested in participating in this initiative.
Because we know that online has come to stay and due to national and international contingency we have decided to keep the online version and the same time reactivate our itinerant spirit. In this edition we are going to visit the 12 municipalities in our region and their most isolated locations, maintaining all the sanitary measures established by our other authorities taking the film from where it has never been before.

AWARDS
1. Children's Short Film Competition “Hecho por Niños y Niñas”:
The Pichikeche festival delivers the “Votación del Público” award to the winning team. The prize consists of a video camera and 2 professional lenses, so that winners can continue experimenting in the cinema and audiovisual language.
2. Professional Short Competition "Hecho para Niños y Niñas"
The Pichikeche festival delivers the “Votación del Público” award to the winning winner. This will receive 500 USD.
This time, because we want to celebrate the power to return to the territories and give importance to the face-to-face vote, as we have created the Special Mention Pichikeche, which will be voted by the pichikeche owners who enjoy this 6th version in person.
* The submission of the registration form supposes the complete acceptance of these bases.
CATEGORIES
1. Children's Short Film Competition “Hecho por Niños y Niñas”:
Animated, fictional and documentary shorts, always and when they were made by children and children under 18 years old.
2. International Competition for Professional Short Films “Hecho para Niños y Niñas”:
Films of professional realization of animation, fictional or documentary. The works must be aimed at children.
* The films part of this category will be screen only in our national territory of Chile.
CONDITIONS
1.- Short films of any kind for school audiences.
2.- duration of 1 to 10 minutes.
3.- The registration is free and open from the 22nd of December to the 31st of January, 2021. Through the FESTHOME.COM platform and on our website www.pichikeche.com/contacto.
4.- All audiovisual works should come in their original version in Spanish, doubled or subtitled in Spanish.
5.- It is not possible to participate in works that have participated in previous versions of our festival.
6.- When postulating in a new call, the postulant is sure to have the intellectual property rights of the work presented. The festival is not responsible for legal actions by third parties.
7.- The festival reserves the rights to exhibit the works selected in itineraries and children's and youth film shows carried out by our organization between 2021 and 2023.
8.- All selected short films will be part of a new educational platform for two year, specifically geolocated in the Chilean territory and with exclusively educational purposes. If you do not want to be part of this initiative, it is enough to make it explicit when you are selected.
FORMAT
In case of being selected, we will ask you to send the film in a high quality file .mov the .mp4 of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which must be sent by the platform www.festhome.com or by wetransfer, drive, or another platform of send by mail produccion@pichikeche.com. In addition, we will request a technical sheet of the film and 3 photographs of the work or process.
