Play Granada is a unique event in Andalucia focused in film, literature, and sports culture. The first edition will be held in 2025 from April 23th to 26th, at emblematic venues like the Isabel la Católica Theater, Condes de Gabia Palace, and Andalucia Film Library.

The project position the province and city of Granada as a cultural and sports benchmark with a showcase of screenings, conferences, and book presentations. Searching the goal of the European Capital of Culture in 2031, and at a very exciting time for sports in the province, both individually and in team sports, the organization of a festival that combines both disciplines emerges as an opportunity to position Granada.

The mix of film and literature around sports through a highly attractive media event, packed with premieres, presentations and prestigious guests, will significantly position the province, establishing it as a new meeting point for two booming industries with undeniable social impact. With a focus on educational activities for young people and the creation of new audiences, the goal is to connect the province's major sports clubs and promote minority sports.

Asociación Cultural Vibraciones promotes the call for entries for the first edition of Play Granada. An international sports-themed festival, open to the selection of short films exploring narratives related to sports, regardless of genre: fiction, documentary, and animation. The maximum duration is 30 minutes, produced after January 1, 2022.

The jury may award a maximum of one special mention, accompanied by a diploma. prizes and mentions may not be awarded ex aequo. The prize money will be adjusted to the corresponding taxes. The jury's decision is final.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Registration for the first edition of the Play Granada Festival implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions. The festival organizers reserve the right to modify them. After the submission the films selected cannot be withdrawn from the program. The decision of the selection committee is final. The Festival organizers may use images or clips from the selected films for promotional purposes and public dissemination during the festival.

The call for entries will be open until March 28, 2025. Submissions can be made by completing the registration form through Festhome platform.
