The Poppy Jasper International Film Festival is establishing a cutting-edge program that presents XR experiences, a combination of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). We embrace emerging technologies, inclusion, and diversity. All genres and styles are welcome.

Web Series are episodic content that is more than one episode. We will look at up to 3 episodes of your Web Series in this category and we accept all genres & lengths.

Films created by kids 4 years old to 14 years old. Please submit only films that are appropriate for kids in this age range. Films should not be longer than 15 minutes.

Non-fiction is a work based on real life facts and information. The assertions and descriptions contained in a non-fiction work are believed by the creator of the work to be factual. These assertions and descriptions may or may not be accurate, and can give either a true or a false account of the subject in question; however, it is generally assumed that authors of such accounts believe them to be truthful at the time of their composition or, at least pose them to their audience as historically or empirically true.

Fiction deals, in part or in whole, with information or events that are not real, but rather, imaginary and theoretical - that is, invented by the author. Although fiction is commonly viewed as a form of entertainment, it may also be used for instructional purposes, propaganda or advertising, or speculation and thought experiments (science and/or philosophical fiction).

A recorded performance of (usually) a recorded popular song, normally accompanied by a stylized dramatization (dancing and/or visual images) interpreting the lyrics.

Projects incorporating the use of technology, animation, and/or music to convey a concept, deliver a message, illustrate concepts, portray an idea, or tell a story.

A work of fiction based on current, or prediction of future, scientific possibilities or absurdities.

Presentation of factual, political, social, or historical events or circumstances.

Project that is humorous in its treatment of theme and character.

Projects that offer the audience a situation or succession of events having dramatic progression or emotional content characteristic of a play. Under 40 minutes.
