International Award for the Best Short Film, promoted by the City of Bergamo and dedicated to the Italian director Ermanno Olmi, with the purpose of promoting of young filmmakers under the age of 30 and their works.
Cash Prizes: 2,000€
Ermanno Olmi 1st Prize: €1200
Ermanno Olmi 2nd Prize: €500
Ermanno Olmi 3rd Prize: €300
A special mention will also be given to the most significant entry concerning the relationship between humankind and Nature, with a particular focus on the valorisation of ancient crafts and traditions that have fallen into disuse and which, in a world continuously evolving and increasingly industrialised, could promote production modes more respectful of the environment and landscape, in line with the contemporary cultural climate inspired by a sustainable and circular economy.
The Prize is addressed to filmmakers of all nationalities and not older than 30 on the date of the submission deadline. For joint submissions, all participants must meet the age limitation.
The maximum length of each entry (fiction, documentary or animation) must not exceed 15 minutes. All entries must have been produced in 2019 or 2020. Each filmmaker can submit a single entry. The submission of an individual and a collective entry at the same time is not allowed.
