The production company ICELAND FILMS, based in the city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, invites filmmakers, young producers, students, and the general public to participate in the following festival: Premios CortosFilmes, National and International Film Festival of Catamarca (PCF FNICC), held in the Province of Catamarca, Argentina.

Premios CortosFilmes celebrates national and international cinema with the dual objective of recognizing and supporting audiovisual creators, while also enhancing the dissemination, awareness, accessibility, and understanding of socio-labor issues among a broad and diverse audience.

Premios CortosFilmes,Film Festival of Catamarca is organized by the audiovisual production company Iceland Films, with the support of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), as well as cultural authorities of Catamarca and the Capital City Municipality.

We are also supported by Sendero Entertainment Records (SER), based in Colombia.

Premios CortosFilmes, FCCa is an innovative initiative aimed at offering quality entertainment with social awareness—a lucid and sensitive perspective on the world of work.

The organization of the festival is led by the audiovisual production company Iceland Films, based in Catamarca, Argentina.

The FICPC organization will select the judging panel, which will award the following prizes:

CALL FOR ENTRIES AND DATES:

The 3rd Audiovisual of FICPC is a cultural and artistic event organized by the audiovisual production company Iceland Films.

The Festival will take place in the province of Catamarca on December 18 and 19, 2025, both in person at the Julio Herrera Library Auditorium (San Martín Street 459) from 5:00 PM to 21:00 PM), and virtually through the festival’s YouTube channel.

There will also be special screenings later on Iceland Films’ website and social media platforms.

The Third Edition of the Premios CortosFilmes Festival, National and International Film Festival of Catamarca 2025 (PCF FNICC) is open to audiovisual works completed from January 1, 2019, onwards.

Submissions will be accepted from June 1 to September 5, 2025.

4. ABOUT THE WORKS:
International Feature Fiction Competition:
Open to Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Eligible Argentine provinces: Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Jujuy, La Pampa, La Rioja, Mendoza, Misiones, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, and Tucumán.

Films must be over 60 minutes and completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

International Documentary Competition:
Same eligible countries and provinces as above.

Documentaries must be over 60 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

National Short Film Competition:
Open to works from the same Argentine provinces listed above.

Short films must be no longer than 25 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

International Short Film Competition:
Open to short films from Latin American countries (same list as above), with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

National Music Video Competition:
Open to works from the same Argentine provinces listed above.

Eligible music videos must be no longer than 10 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward, and created for a solo artist or band from Argentina.

International One-Minute Video Competition:
Open to Latin American countries and Argentine provinces listed above.

Works of any genre, no longer than 60 seconds, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

International Projects in Development Competition:
Open to documentary or fiction feature-length audiovisual projects with a teaser of up to 5 minutes, currently in production since January 1, 2019.

The winning project must include the Premios CortosFilmes – PCF FNICC logo at the beginning of the finished film. Open to entries from Argentina and all Latin American countries.

Local High School Competition:
Open to audiovisual works created by students (in collaboration with their teachers), with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

Participants must be students from 3rd to 6th year of secondary schools in Catamarca.

Local Special Education Schools Competition:
Open to audiovisual works submitted by Special Education Schools in the Province of Catamarca, with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, completed from January 1, 2019, onward.

NON-COMPETITIVE SECTION:
Showcase of Amateur Filmmakers’ Audiovisual Works

Eligible countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
