The ceremony will be held as part of the cultural and film event A LA LUZ DEL CINE (In the Light of Cinema).
With the aim of recognizing the career, commitment, and contribution to the rural world, the organization will present an Honorary SalvaPastores Award™ prior to the SalvaPastores™ Awards gala.
This award will be given to a prominent individual in the pastoral or livestock sector whose work has significantly contributed to the preservation, development, and enhancement of these professions, which are essential to society.
The award may recognize, among other merits:
A distinguished professional career in shepherding or livestock farming.
The defense and preservation of the rural world and its traditions.
The contribution to generational renewal in the sector.
The commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and the protection of the land.
The promotion of innovation, research, or technological development applied to livestock farming.
The dissemination and social appreciation of the role of the shepherd or livestock farmer. The award winner will be chosen by the SalvaPastores™ Awards organization, and may have the advice of professionals from the agricultural, cultural or gastronomic sectors.
Cash Prizes: 4,000€
The following awards will be given:
- Best Fiction Short Film
€4,000 + statuette
- Best Documentary Short Film
€4,000 + statuette
- Best Animated Short Film
€4,000 + statuette
The organization may award special mentions without monetary prize.
- SELECTION OF FINALISTS
The selection committee will choose 20 finalist short films from all the submissions received.
Each finalist short film will receive a screening fee of €100.
At least one representative from each winning short film must attend the awards ceremony, and their travel and living expenses will be covered.
- PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
The following may participate:
Individuals over 18 years of age
Audiovisual production companies
Audiovisual groups or associations
The works must meet the following requirements:
Produced between January 1, 2026, and January 1, 2027
Maximum recommended duration: 30 minutes
Open theme, provided it is related to the purpose of these awards
Digital format
subtitles in Spanish or english for works in other languages
Each author or production company may submit a maximum of two works.
- SELECTION COMMITTEE
A selection committee appointed by the organization will be responsible for viewing all submitted works and selecting the 20 finalist short films.
The committee will be composed of professionals from the following fields:
Film
Culture
Rural
Agribusiness

€4,000 + statuette
Best Documentary Short Film
€4,000 + statuette
Best Animated Short Film
€4,000 + statuette
The organization may award special mentions without monetary prize.
JURY
The jury will be composed of professionals from the audiovisual, cultural, and gastronomic sectors, as well as representatives from rural communities.
Their decisions will be final.
The jury may award special mentions if it deems it appropriate.
