The “Cultural Institute Stefano Faniglione", active from over than 20 years, works to promote initiatives and develop activities and all kind of arts.

This year, in collaboration with Castle View Studio, they present the First Edition of "Quercia Film Festival", which will take place from July 20 2018 to July 22 2018.

This competition, sponsored by the city of Livorno, aims to enhance and promote independent cinema, and it opens the selection to any kind of short films (excluding horror and documentaries) made by directors all around the world, supporting the short film in all its forms as an artistic and expressive language.

All the selected short films will be screened during the festival, and the following prizes will be awarded:

BEST SHORT FILM: Projector Led 1080p + Plate
BEST DIRECTING: Drone 2MP 1080p + Plate
BEST SCREENPLAY: Tablet + Plate
BEST ACTING: Tablet + Plate
AUDIENCE AWARD: Action Camera 4K + Plate

ART 1
SHORT FILMS

The short films, published and unpublished, should have a maximum duration of 20 minutes, credits included.

Short films submitting to The Festival must have been completed after January 1, 2015.

If the original language of the short film is not Italian, it must have Italian or English subtitles.
Each author can participate with a maximum of 2 short films (of the same kind or a different kind).

ART. 2
PRIZES

All the selected short films will be screened during the festival, and the following prizes will be awarded:

BEST SHORT FILM: Projector Led 1080p + Plate
BEST DIRECTING: Drone 2MP 1080p + Plate
BEST SCREENPLAY: Tablet + Plate
BEST ACTING: Tablet + Plate
AUDIENCE AWARD: Action Camera 4K + Plate
Prizes must be picked up by the winners or a delegate.

In case of the winner's absence, they will have to pay all the costs regarding the prize shipment.

ART 3
JURY

The selected short films will be announced by the end of June 2018, via email to the authors and on the Facebook page.

The organization will appoint a panel of experts in charge of electing the winners and award the prizes.
The decisions of the Jury can't be disputed.

ART 5
NOTES

By entering the competition, each author is responsible for the content of his/her work.
The author also declares and guarantees that the rights of the short film are his/her property and that does not break rights of third parties, such as other authors, subjects portrayed, transferees of rights, music rights, etc.

If the work presents contents not owned by the person participating to the Festival, the author undertakes to gather all the permissions necessary to the participation in the
Festival itself.

In any case, the participant in the Festival and/or the author of the work, undertake to raise the organization's of Quercia Film Festival from any claim, request for damage and/or advanced by anyone.
The application for admission to the Festival implies the unconditional acceptance of all the points of regulation.

Under the Italian law 196/03, the personal data of the authors will be used only in the purpose of the event.

ART. 6
GENERAL RULES

In case of dispute, only the Italian version of the rules will be take into consideration.

The Festival may take decisions regarding matters not specified into this Regulation.
For any dispute, it will be competence of the Rome Court.



  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
